LBPC Mafia: Revival - GAME OVER! SEE PAGE 50 FOR RESULTS

| "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen. I have unfortunate news for you all." The incredibly handsome chief of police - Ryan86me - stands on a podium in front the whole town of LBPCentralio. "We all remember and mourn the loss of our previous chief of police - Burnvictim42. As you all know, he was killed by the mafia, but the citizens fortunately prevailed in the end." The crowds cheer in remembrance of beating the mafia. "Now now, quiet down. Now is not a time for celebration. Ladies and gentlemen... the mafia are back, and they hide among you right now. It's time for the citizens to rise again." The crowd can't believe it. They scream, yell, and pace, unbelieving of the news. How could the dastardly Mafia have returned? But now is not the time to panic... now is the time to think, out the mafia members, and, in the end, prevail. It is quite a commotion in the Town Square of LBPCentralio. In fact, there is so much commotion that nobody notices how abrupt Ryan86me's speech had ended - right at the climax, it had seemed. It's not until the people of LBPC calm down to try and rationally find the mafia members do they realize why the speech they had been called here for had ended so soon. There, in the front of the podium, lies Ryan86me's body, one bullet hole in his head. The game proceeds in two repeating stages – day and night – and starts off with day. Every day, each member of the game will use logical deduction and exquisitely random guessing to try and determine who they would like to vote for – the citizens wanting to discover who is Mafia and vote them off, and the Mafia wanting to vote off whoever floats their boat. There shall be NO PMs among citizens – all discussion will remain on the game’s thread. Everybody will vote on whoever they would like to vote on. The handsome chief of police – yours truly – will frequently tally up these votes, in order to give the fair citizens and the not-so fair Mafia scum a report, which will be publicly posted as a standard, grade-A post. When the night comes, the Mafia will privately communicate via PMs who they would like to assassinate. Then, when they come to a conclusion, they will all PM me the group’s choice. If the Civilians manage to kill off all of the DMM, they will have officially won the game. If, however, at any time, the number of Mafia members is greater than the number of Civilians, the Mafia will have won the game. When playing this game, there are two things you will largely want to do. First, you will want to tell off all of those Mafia scumbags, and find out who they are. This requires deep, hard thinking, but guessing or using Random.org is, of course, a perfectly viable solution . The second thing you want to do is profess your innocence, though you will probably save this for when you have a lot of people screaming “ER MEH GEHRD HE’S MAFIA LET’S VOTE ON HIM YEAAAAAAAAAAAA”. Roles Mafia Faction Mafioso - A standard member of the Mafia. Every night, the Mafiosos will collaborate with the other Mafia members to decide what Civilian will be killed, and then PM me the group’s choice. Assassin – The Assassin has the power to kill whoever he wants during the night, but can only do so once a game. Civilian Faction Civvie- A standard civilian with no special powers. A civilian can vote during the day and participate in thread conversations, but that’s about it. Sheriff- A Sheriff can, during the night, detect the role of any player. Every night, the Sheriff will PM me, asking for a player’s role, and I will tell them. However, since roles are not public, and lies are abound (anybody can claim to be the Sheriff, but in reality there’s only one), the Sheriff will have to rely on trust to convince everybody of their target’s role. Vigilante - The Vigilante has the power to kill whoever he wants during the night, but can only do so twice a game. This role is exactly the same as the Assassin, only the person's allegiance is towards the Civilians and not the Mafia, and the person gets two kills per game rather than one. Doctor- Can protect one player from any night attacks. They will PM me each night, telling me the player of their choice. Extra Roles If a fair amount of people join, I will consider adding more roles in order to create more chaos, confusion, and other miscellaneous emotions. TURNS The game will start in the day. During the day, all players will vote on who they would like to kill (Mafia members included). After all of the votes come in, or the 2 real-life day limit comes and ends the day, the night will start. During the night, the Mafia members will discuss, via PMs, who they want to kill. They will have one real life day to do so. Nobody can post anything related to the game at this time (all game-related discussion will happen during the day). After I receive all of the PM's from the Mafia and the special civilian roles, or the 2 real-life day limit comes and ends the night, the day will come, and I will provide a report that will say what happened during the night. Should a player not post for 3 in-game days in a row, they will automatically be killed. This ensures that everybody on the thread is active, and helps with the pacing. Remember - Do not privately tell anybody else of your role. You can say your role all you want in the actual thread, but there's no way to prove that you're not lying, so it really won't mean a grain of salt. - Civilians cannot PM each other about the game under any circumstance, but the Mafia Members can PM each other (only each other, however – NOT Civilians) - No posts related to the game may be made in the in-game night. | We don't have any reasons to vote except for any unfounded suspicions. The mafia have to kill someone at random and the serial killers have to be careful with who to off. Then day 2 will begin with all the tension and mistrust that often leads to innocents getting killed for being too suspicious. | Rules In order to participate in the LBPC Mafia, you need to sign up. Signing up is easy – just leave a post on this page saying “Wii would like to play” (or any other phrase of signing up that suits your fancy), and I will PM you your role after a fair amount of players volunteer. Roles are randomly generated, so requesting for a role over PM will result in absolutely nothing (even if you give me cookies). There are two individual teams – the Civilians and the Mafia. The game proceeds in two repeating stages – day and night – and starts off with day. Every day, each member of the game will use logical deduction and exquisitely random guessing to try and determine who they would like to vote for – the citizens wanting to discover who is Mafia and vote them off, and the Mafia wanting to vote off whoever floats their boat. There shall be NO PMs among citizens – all discussion will remain on the game’s thread. Everybody will vote on whoever they would like to vote on. The handsome chief of police – yours truly – will frequently tally up these votes, in order to give the fair citizens and the not-so fair Mafia scum a report, which will be publicly posted as a standard, grade-A post. When the night comes, the Mafia will privately communicate via PMs who they would like to assassinate. Then, when they come to a conclusion, they will all PM me the group’s choice. If the Civilians manage to kill off all of the DMM, they will have officially won the game. If, however, at any time, the number of Mafia members is greater than the number of Civilians, the Mafia will have won the game. When playing this game, there are two things you will largely want to do. First, you will want to tell off all of those Mafia scumbags, and find out who they are. This requires deep, hard thinking, but guessing or using Random.org is, of course, a perfectly viable solution . The second thing you want to do is profess your innocence, though you will probably save this for when you have a lot of people screaming “ER MEH GEHRD HE’S MAFIA LET’S VOTE ON HIM YEAAAAAAAAAAAA”. Roles Mafia Faction Mafioso - A standard member of the Mafia. Every night, the Mafiosos will collaborate with the other Mafia members to decide what Civilian will be killed, and then PM me the group’s choice. Assassin – The Assassin has the power to kill whoever he wants during the night, but can only do so once a game. Civilian Faction Civvie- A standard civilian with no special powers. A civilian can vote during the day and participate in thread conversations, but that’s about it. Sheriff- A Sheriff can, during the night, detect the role of any player. Every night, the Sheriff will PM me, asking for a player’s role, and I will tell them. However, since roles are not public, and lies are abound (anybody can claim to be the Sheriff, but in reality there’s only one), the Sheriff will have to rely on trust to convince everybody of their target’s role. Vigilante - The Vigilante has the power to kill whoever he wants during the night, but can only do so twice a game. This role is exactly the same as the Assassin, only the person's allegiance is towards the Civilians and not the Mafia, and the person gets two kills per game rather than one. Doctor- Can protect one player from any night attacks. They will PM me each night, telling me the player of their choice. Extra Roles If a fair amount of people join, I will consider adding more roles in order to create more chaos, confusion, and other miscellaneous emotions. TURNS The game will start in the day. During the day, all players will vote on who they would like to kill (Mafia members included). After all of the votes come in, or the 2 real-life day limit comes and ends the day, the night will start. During the night, the Mafia members will discuss, via PMs, who they want to kill. Nobody can post anything related to the game at this time (all game-related discussion will happen during the day). After I receive all of the PM's from the Mafia and the special civilian roles, or the 2 real-life day limit comes and ends the night, the day will come, and I will provide a report that will say what happened during the night. Should a player not post for 3 in-game days in a row, they will automatically be killed. This ensures that everybody on the thread is active, and helps with the pacing. Remember - Do not privately tell anybody else of your role. You can say your role all you want in the actual thread, but there's no way to prove that you're not lying, so it really won't mean a grain of salt. - Civilians cannot PM each other about the game under any circumstance, but the Mafia Members can PM each other (only each other, however – NOT Civilians) - No posts related to the game may be made in the in-game night. There are not as many players this time, for a start, and everyone will have been listed in a different order to the first game. If exactly the same number of people were playing, and the mafia were in the same positions in the list then yes, it would be less likely that they/we were mafia again. But because of the differences anyone who was mafia last time who's playing again this time could just as easily be mafia as anyone else. So that probably led to my derpy moments, I had no intention to want sev gone, it seems that the vigilante did though but we cant vote for him/her now can we? | Alright, since it seems more than a few players want me dead, time to look at the facts. I'd assume the mafia would either go random or vote for the experienced/good players I'd count myself, sev, burn and ali among these numbers Since sev obviously isn't mafia, I hereby vote for burn, as he'd have been the first person I'd expect the mafia to kill were he not mafiaThis makes little sense. Welp, here I am now, in the limelight, hit me with your best shot people (but mafia, please, don't shoot me ).Well this is certainly... interesting. Now I know Burn's done this game plenty of times before, and while he doesn't necessarily have a higher chance at becoming a mafioso than anyone else, it still would lend him some experience I'd suppose. At the same time, I won't deny that he made some good points against butter. Then again, I've seen plenty of agreements and alliances made in this game, so it could just be some scheme from Burn maybe. Meh, I'll reserve my judgement for later, but Burn's forced creepy talk that Dawn used when she was a mafioso isn't helping his case. xD Sorry about the creepy zombie noises, but I find it amusing and plan to keep it up throughout the game, even if i'm killed. If I'm mafia though... why would I want to copy something that was done in the last game? Near the end the reasoning for getting rid of Dawn was pretty much "The must die", and aligning myself with the previous mafia, not to mention bringing the spotlight to myself seems a pretty bold move. As the mafia, you kind of want to KEEP suspicion from yourself and you do this primarily by choosing battles strategically, not outing yourself to the public.
