Kindred is a collaborative project that introduces a brand new story level series to the PSP community. When will it come out? The project is still in the creation stage, but we announced the project early to maximize involvement from the greater LBP PSP Community. Please refer to this thread for updates. | Umm... welcome to the site? You do know we have an Introduce Yourself forum, right? EDIT: In case you're lost, here's a recap of the most recent events.  Ooh! Recaps! ^-^ The Recap The Hoarder posted a teaser art and everybody became suspicious when comphermc stickied it. Soon, everybody "Thanked!" The Hoarder's post because amazingflyingpoo admitted that he ad something to do with this project. With that, everybody started to point fingers at one another, still trying to figure out who's The Hoarder. A day or two later, BlueBulletBill was accused of being The Hoarder because everybody here who knows BlueBulletBill knows that he once tried a Community project, The Great Labyrinth. After interrogation, however, he admitted that the project died and that he had no involvement in The Hoarder's project. Hours later, Gilgamesh and Leather-Monkey decided to stalk the PSP section and investigated the scene. After a few searches and observations, they both found out that amazingflyingpoo had a picture of the character in the teaser art, and that salieri created the characters within LBP PSP itself. With everybody keeping an eye on these two Creators, Gilgamesh took it into his hands to go even deeper. Moments later, Area 51 was discovered and Gilgamesh gathered a handful of suspects. But, after interrogating them he had only gained the members' names of the group and nothing more. Days went by and spam was littering the thread until The Hoarder posted again. This sparked mass contrevorsy after people noticed he was Friends with The Forgotten. After sharing their thoughts, everybody decided The Forgotten was in on it. It wasn't until everybody started being The Hoarder's Friends that they debunked this as a minor change in things. Hours later, a mysterious fellow emerged by the name of The Hoarders Asst, who claims to be a minion of The Hoarder. This quickly became a massive debate of whether or not this guy is a fake. It wasn't long before The Hoarder posted again, only to reveal that he once had a minion but he "pulled out his stuffing" for being "20 seconds late" with his coffee. But never the less, the minions came with the names of The Hoarders Advsr and The Hoarders Lover. It wasn't long before comphermc banned them and revealed that is was cory_7101995, dragonember, and Richasackboy who were the fake Hoarders ("respectively" of course). Still, it was too late. This quickly became a trend and now a majority of the PSP section is now using Hoarder Eyes in their avatars. And yes, it has become a habit to tease a Photoshop picture Taffey made, Hoarder Merchandise. 3 weeks went by with nothing but spam and threats from The Hoarder. Then, out of nowhere, The Hoarder posted a QR Code. With only a few hours to spare, the members quickly found out that it was a link to a site: http://yourworldoftext.com/sos. The site contained an SOS to the Community, hinting them about "vehicles" and The Hoarder's evil ways. Other than that, the Community was left clueless, again. A few days later and The Hoarder posted a code on his Profile. The members were taken back by the unusual post until The Hoarder began PM'ing people a message containing pieces of a larger message. After many hours of deciphering the code, everybody was left a message that didn't seem much until a link teaser art was found. This teaser art resembled a lot like the first, and everybody discovered that this character had habit of using puzzles. With everybody focusing on other possible "tribes" to be discovered, another trend quickly came into play: Teams! So now, with The Hoarder posting his/her most recent comment of "be prepared", everybody is choosing sides, teams, new trends, new signatures, and new avatars. There are currently three teams: Team Platformeraninans, Team Puzzleranians, and Team Hoarder (a spoof that ali made but then quickly got attention after The Hoarder "Thanked!" his post. There's a possibility that more "tribes" and Teams will be revealed later on. Well that's it for the recap. Maybe we can start a competition later on. ^-^ Peace from Team Hoarder __________________________________________________ _____________ Update 1 A new hunt was started by The Hoarder. For 3 days, the PSP community went through the hunt. Even PS3ers like Gilgamesh and evil_warlord were participating in the hunt. On the first day, the members went through majority of the stages with minimum difficulties. It wasn't until the last stage that the members stared to suffer problems in solving the puzzle. It wasn't until ARD, another PS3er, solved the last stage... 2 days after it encountered! After a bit of confusion, the community finally achieved the long awaited teaser art for the third tribe in the game, a mysterious character that was also spotted in ali's secret level. It was confirmed that CyberSora created the hunt and that more hunts were to follow. After the 3 day event ended, jeffcu28 finally managed to negotiate with The Hoarder in posting the project's announcement in the OP. All information that is currently available for public view can be found on the first post (OP) of the first page. jeffcu28 also confirmed that the PSP community will be involved in the project one way or another, and spammers will be in punished for violating both site and thread rules. Go recaps! (>^-^)> Fun Facts It is a very rare event to see The Hoarder "Thanks!" anybody. The Hoarder Eyes trend began when cory_7101995 transitioned his fake account's avatar into his. Mm Tweeted about the post on their Twitter account. There is only one known Creator who has admitted involvement in this project: amazingflyingpoo. He, however, denies any further production in it. AceCreator (a Sony Cambridge employee) acknowledge the project's existence, but has denied any role in it. A theory was created that The Hoarder posted every 11 pages, yet he/she still doesn't acknowledge this theory. The moderators (A.K.A. mods) are involved in this project, but refuse to comment on it. BlueBulletBill openly claimed he was in on the project at least twice, yet no one has attacked him... yet. Silver was the first to comment on the thread. The estimated time of response was about a minute since the thread was made. CyberSora is the only one who refuses to "Thanks!" The Hoarder's posts. The most recent puzzle took 3 days to solve, with the last stage confusing the members for 2 days. ARD was the one to solve it in the end, with apparently no trouble. EDIT: FAQ sheet is now online! FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) What's this Kindred I've been hearing about? Kindred, LBPCentral's first PSP project, is a new series created by some of your beloved Creators! The series, containing over 15 levels, will focus around the player and his/her adventure through 5 mysterious tribes. The player will visit each tribe to learn about the new and threatening villain only known as The Hoarder. What lies ahead for the player, that is yet to be revealed. Who's in the project team? See the OP (Official Post). Can I please sign up!? We currently have no need for anymore Creators in our team. As far as I know, our last batch of Creators were probably the last ones to join. Are you guys going to finish all of the levels before you publish the first 3 (first tribe)? We've already decided to release the levels along the way; that way you guys have something to play while the rest of the series is being finished. Will The Hoarder be releasing them anytime soon? We are still not sure about how long this project will take. We can only say it's very soon, but we are not guaranteeing anything. Will you guys be releasing one tribe at a time for play or all of them at once? We still haven't decided on how we'll be releasing them. What other Kindred Kontests are there to come? We don't have any planned for the time being. However, we will be looking for ways to have you, the Community, to contribute one way or another. Maybe this is some kind of "viral marketing campaign" for someone's levels. Also, if "The Hoarder" is supposed to be the villain, it seems very similar to "The Collector." Here's the list of people I think are behind the picture: •amazingflyingpoo •salieri Gilgamesh reminded me of a level salieri published a while back. At first it looks like nothing, but when you walk to the right for a while, you'll see some weird characters. On of them looks a lot like the picture! It's pretty bloody good and I can't do graphics at all, so there it is. Ok, so I did at one time have my name associated with a level that obscurely contained a character that bore a passing resemblance to that image, but it really isn't mine. I suppose I won't be shot for saying that I have done some character-making favours for people in the past, and whatever they do with the characters I've made for them is not really up to me, so I'm afraid I can't be drawn on the issue. | I know which picture you are talking about. A little fellow came to me and asked me to recreate a person. I will not say who, but the person seem to sketch out the drawing and showed me it. I made it for the person and AFP seem to taken the picture for me. This person who asked me to make the character happened to be the same person who asked Salieri. That evidence doesn't prove me being in the project. Though, it does prove I made a character for them. I've made that object long ago. | I think MM gave an official nod for the Logic Pack back when it was released, even though they weren't actually involved (ironically, this made many people think they WERE involved in making the Logic Pack!). The same thing might happen with this project if it's really as big as the teaser says and as high quality as the image (and leaked info) lets us presume. They have all said they were asked to do this a while back, although they say they did not know what it was for. This makes it seem like this 'Project' has been in planning for a while, and includes some people although are not totally in the know. Do the people who have confessed to being in it know who the person was that requested their services? There is obviously some information they are witholding, but I suspect they know a little bit more then we do, but they can't tell us because of the strange rules about keeping secret stuf and what you can and can't reveal to us. | What the... Uh, wow. I take a week off without the interwebz to go camping and THIS happens?? Sheesh! Ok, before even beginning to make my own theories I figured it would be best to catch up on the speculation so far - 11 pages is a lot of reading to plow through! From what I can tell people seem to think poo is in on it, but for my money I'll bet he simply has a very good inside scoop. He's been known to do things like that before. salieri seems to be suspected due to created objects, but I've seen all sorts of odd things pop up on salieri's published level list, some copyable and some not. Unless we suspect this is going to be a snowmobile versus airship race level with good-looking character cutouts then I'd say we can rule him out. Besides, the only person who knows salieri's deepest and darkest thoughts is salieri himself (except for perhaps the ghost of Graham Hill).  I saw jeffcu's name mentioned once and I actually would suspect him due to the fairly carefully worded original post, but I know for a fact that he's very much offline due to his vacation. Besides, if he had anything to do with it I'd like to think that I would have been able to find out the information from him already. The word "platformeranian" is curious and is so far the only thing I haven't been able to find out any information on. Is this perhaps part of Cambridge's "planned DLC" that we've heard about? | Guys, do you honestly believe DLC is the surprise? If this is true, then Cambridge has really bad promotional skills. DLC would've been announced on the PlayStation Blog, and on every other LBP fansite as well. So far, we are the only ones to receive this from the actual user, while other sites get it from people who are "spreading news" (ex. amazingflyingpoo). So far, Mm has acknowledged this as something interesting, so this rules out Mm's involvement. Cambridge however hasn't acknowledged anything, and as you remember we have yet to host any contest for them. So, this has to be: a) A contest for some new type of prize (like a Rare Object/Sticker or some other item). b) A community project. I'm really hoping for a), because not only will this site get more members, but we'll have the honor to host a very exciting contest. However, if this is a community project then I hope there's auditions or sign-ups. I really want to help do whatever you guys are doing. | Wow. This is all so very obvious, if any of my conclusions are correct. Conclusion 1: I have no idea whatsoever, and it will be revealed to us soon enough. Conclusion 2: The Great Labyrinth is complete. Because, think about it. The Great Labyrinth was where someone stole pieces from many levels, and hoarded them into one level. Make the connection? The Hoarder? Plus, the avatar for The Hoarder is blackness and two evil-looking eyes. A villain? I think so. It also fits well together because a lot of people thought to be in on it are in the Great Labyrinth development team. Anyways, that just hit me a few moments ago. Conclusion 3: Area 51. (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/group.php?groupid=378) Nothing about this was revealed to us. The only thing revealed to me when I asked Taffey about it is that "It will involve anyone and everyone who wants to be in it." I am pretty sure this is actually what it is. I think the name "The Hoarder" was a clever way to make people think it was the Great Labyrinth, even though I'm the first who brought it up. Also, if this were true, that would mean CyberSora is in it, in which I have no doubt. His ways of acting like he is trying to figure it out is pretty good, but I'm a detective (seriously. I am. It's my career.), so I usually can catch things like that. Although I must say, it's harder to figure stuff out on the interwebz because people can simply hide the emotions, reactions, etc. Sometimes they let something slip with words, or act oddly, but these are my ideas... Whatever it turns out to be, there ARE more than one person working on this. | I've went a few posts back and read something about Platformeranian. I don't know what the heck it means. Though, I realised it had the word Platform in it. Then I was thinking about Platformer-anian. Maybe that's the name of a community of people. Maybe the country they live in has to do with the name with "Platform" included. Do you think Platformeranian has to do with a country or community in the game? I don't know, but maybe that's what the story is about? Maybe the guy in the poster is the main character too.
