http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/6189/marveltease.jpg Starting July 7th, an awesome set of four packs containing various Marvel heroes (and villains!) will begin making their way to the PlayStation Store. The first will hit the store July 7th, with each successive pack releasing every other following week. If we've done our math right, you can look forward to new Marvel costumes the weeks of July 7th, July 21st, August 4th, and August 18th. There's even a matching Level Kit on the way, with four Marvel-themed levels full to the brim with music, objects, materials, stickers, and even a special “Rooftop” background for you to collect. Even more details on the Level Kit are on their way next week! -------------------- For those of you that just can't get enough LittleBigPlanet-Marvel action, we've included the full list of Marvel characters coming to the PlayStation Store: Captain America Daredevil Doctor Octopus Elektra Ghost Rider Green Goblin Hulk Invisible Woman Iron Man The Human Torch Magneto Mystique The Punisher Roque Spider-Man Storm The Thing Thor Venom Wolverine How they'll be packaged and offered to us, we don't yet know - we'll just have to wait and see! | 2010-06-26 01:07:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |
Would it be too much to hope that all the costumes will be available in just 1 pack? | 2010-06-26 01:13:00 Author: mr Radical 5601 Posts: 515 |
This is gonna be awesome...aside from the fact that it'll probably empty my wallet. xD I still need to buy the old DLC! lol | 2010-06-26 01:15:00 Author: AeroForce22 Posts: 392 |

Would it be too much to hope that all the costumes will be available in just 1 pack? probably...since they announced 4 costume kits and then a level kit...probably never going to make it a single DLC, well maybe anyways IRONMAN, SPIDEY, and VENOM the ONLY ones i want most...maybe hulk too...since its most likely going to be a sackboy form changer (just like mr.incredibles suit and violets suit) | 2010-06-26 02:51:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |

Ok, they have Ghost Rider. NOW I'm officially interested. I guess each costume kit would cost roughly $4-6 American dollars, and the level kit would probably cost around $5-7 American dollars. Either way, I'm SOO buying it!! :hero: (Too bad there's no Deadpool... one can dream ) | 2010-06-26 03:57:00 Author: Outlaw-Jack Posts: 5757 |
:O wow, I won't be able to afford all of it but that's awesome! | 2010-06-26 04:48:00 Author: AbstractSam Posts: 332 |
I'm gonna get the level kit... 'cause I have 100% on everything made by Media Molecule, and I'm gonna keep it that way. | 2010-06-26 05:54:00 Author: Tyler Posts: 663 |
Besides some awesome costumes, I'm with Tyler in supporting MM with full force. | 2010-06-26 06:17:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
It's funny how a bunch of these are already costumes. I hope the official ones blow them out of the water, and it'll be interesting to see if they could actually improve upon the Venom costume in particular. | 2010-06-26 06:48:00 Author: Valgee Posts: 105 |

I hope all this stuff will be able to go on LBP2. I will be fairly unhappy if these expansions just go away. >_> | 2010-06-26 09:16:00 Author: Luck_Mod Posts: 11 |
I hope all this stuff will be able to go on LBP2. I will be fairly unhappy if these expansions just go away. >_> It's been confirmed that ALL DLC gotten from LBP1 will be usable in LBP2. | 2010-06-26 09:21:00 Author: Melfice Posts: 269 |
Ooh, hope the level kit's good! http://i.neoseeker.com/mgv/272671-Blackfalcon/671/5/animal0064hb2_display.gif | 2010-06-26 10:31:00 Author: Blackfalcon Posts: 409 |
Twenty.....costumes........ *randomly pops, and spawns out nearest checkpoint* Wow, awesome! I'll pick up IronMan, Hulk, and the 3 of the Fantastic Four listed (What, no Mr.Fantastic?), and probably the level kit. I hope Hulk, like someone else mentioned, will make sackboy appear bigger like Mr.Incredible's suit does (but even larger), then that'd be an awesome costume for The Tank from L4D | 2010-06-26 11:05:00 Author: Matimoo Posts: 1027 |
Now which ones will be useful as sackbots... Guesses at kits: Spider-man kit: Spider-man, Dr. Octopus, Green Goblin, Venom, Punisher (?) X-men kit :Wolverine, Magneto, Mystique, Rogue, Storm Avengers kit: Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Elektra Fantastic kit: Human Torch, Invisible Woman, The Thing, Ghost rider (?), Daredevil (?) The (?) ones are a massive guess, the ones without will probably be in those kits. | 2010-06-26 11:15:00 Author: Jedi_1993 Posts: 1518 |
Looking forward to the level kit most. Anyone know when that is out ? I hope it's the first week and not after everything else. Have to start saving up now. That will probably be around ?25 to buy all 4 costume kits and the level kit. Can't wait to see them now. Very eager to see the new materials and background too. | 2010-06-26 11:19:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |

i hope there's a new feature or two, like climbing on sponge-walls (spider-sack) and jet-pack-boots (for iron-sack) We won't be getting any new things like that. they're saving all the big things for LBP2 now. Plus, we'd know about it by now if they were releasing something like that. To be honest, I'm glad in a way, it'll be interesting to see more levels from them that aren't just based on a particular feature. | 2010-06-26 17:23:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |

Marvel and LBP, two of my most favorite sources of entertainment... TOGETHER?? I hope the add a new gameplay mechanic. There are so many! Green Goblin glider for flight and emitting bombs and such, Invisible Woman invisible suit, Human Torch fire suit for catching certain materials and sackpeople on fire, Wolverine claws for deadly slaps, and more! My current excitement surpasses my excitement when water was announced. There is only one LBP event that trumps this one to me, and that is LBP2. Speaking of LBP2, the possibilities! Sackbots dressed as supervillians, Hulk costume and power gloves, Spider-Man costume and grappling hook, so, much, epicness! *implodes* | 2010-06-26 18:21:00 Author: SackBolt Posts: 97 |
They normally sneak a free bit of costume in with the level kit, i wonder what they'll put in? | 2010-06-26 18:41:00 Author: Asbestos101 Posts: 1114 |

Well I read an interesting piece of speculation somewhere. Magneto = magnetic, and the story apparently revolves around him so if there is a new mechanic, magnets could be it. Well that would be sweet but yah, probably will just be snazzy levels with lots of little tricks and illusions to wrap our heads around. Which is more than enough for me, bring it on! | 2010-06-26 18:54:00 Author: OneEyedBanshee Posts: 1370 |

Ladies and gentlemen. This is how rumours spin out of control. One person thinks of something that'd be cool, but would never happen. Another person takes this idea, and totally makes it into a "speculation" of what might totally be added BECAUSE IT MAKES SENSE. A third person (our friend Banshee, in this case) read this speculation and thinks it's cool and just shares it, knowing fully well it won't happen (but secretly hopes it would). And... then the idiots drop in, read this, take it for truth and the sane people get to deal with the fall-out. NOTE: This is not a snipe at OneEyedBanshee! A level kit is something that comes with levels, right, or is it just something where you go through and collect a bunch of prizes, like the Incredibles pack? If it comes with levels I might put money on the PSStore and get it. | 2010-06-26 19:51:00 Author: GreatWhite000 Posts: 673 |

I don't secretly hope it would, I thought I made it obvious I want it by posting Having said that I don't think the people around here are idiots and I can see them accepting that I was purely speculating as I said I was. The two other level packs had a new feature so I think it's fair to have a little speculation. I do agree the chances of it happening are so slim though, surely MM would have hyped up a new game changing feature by now. Who knows though all we have is silhouettes to go off of so we'll just have to wait and see. I'm going to remain optimistic, usually these levels showcase something, just what these will be showcasing who knows. | 2010-06-26 21:36:00 Author: OneEyedBanshee Posts: 1370 |

Green Goblin glider for flight and emitting bombs and such, Invisible Woman invisible suit, Human Torch fire suit for catching certain materials and sackpeople on fire, Wolverine claws for deadly slaps, and more! I'd love to see something new with this too, I really hope the Invisible Woman will be transparent & not just a blonde Fantastic Four sackgirl costume; same with the Human Torch, I'd love if he were to look on fire & be lethal to touch; & as for Wolverine, it'd be great if his claws popped out when you changed his expression to angry & they'd retract if he were happy or normal. Those are all unlikely scenarios but they'd really make my day. | 2010-06-26 21:57:00 Author: ApeCheese Posts: 369 |

No, what you're saying is exactly what I meant to say, but probably didn't articulate well enough. And I really didn't mean to say LBPC members were the idiots. But there's search engines crawling these pages right now, and any fool typing in the words LBP + Marvel is gonna be able to read this topic and misinterpret wishes a non-fool is making. ^___^ And then rumours spin out of control. | 2010-06-26 22:19:00 Author: Melfice Posts: 269 |

so much hype for costumes, wow.. you guys really arent more excited to see what Mm does with the levels, if they aren't working to show off some new mechanic? costumes are nice but really, you can only wear one full costume at a time. it's nbd. | 2010-06-27 04:52:00 Author: monstahr Posts: 1361 |
Let me explain the pack to everyone here: -Some characters can fly differently when placing the jet-pack on like Iron man and the Green Goblin etc. -There will be six packs. (Rumored) -5 costume packs and 1 and level kits. -Each pack will have a main character such as Captain America, Spiderman etc and 3 less than hot characters such as Elektra or Daredevil. I will update this or make a thread when I get more info. | 2010-06-27 05:52:00 Author: CYBERSNAKE Posts: 280 |
Some characters can fly differently when placing the jet-pack on like Iron man and the Green Goblin etc. 1. where are you getting this information 2. THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING | 2010-06-27 05:56:00 Author: monstahr Posts: 1361 |
1. where are you getting this information 2. THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING 1. Some of the info I got was from the LBP website while some were from here. (http://ps3.kombo.com/article.php?artid=12589) 2. It doesn't really change anything its just for show plus I changed it to rumored. Plus if you look at the image it shows some characters in the sky. | 2010-06-27 06:05:00 Author: CYBERSNAKE Posts: 280 |

It doesn't really change anything its just for show plus I changed it to rumored. Plus if you look at the image it shows some characters in the sky. I am interested to see where this "kombo" website got their source from. Without any screenshots, it seems more like baseless conjecture than actual fact. I'd be more than happy if it were true that some characters can fly, but it seems very unlikely. That MM may have altered the flight animations for some characters seems more likely, but still nothing I'd put money on. Also: it is easy to imagine flight being granted with some of the costumes. This is because flight is already possible in the game via jet-packs. The game wouldn't necessarily be broken if Iron Man and Goblin used own jets of their own or Magneto and Storm took to the skies. As they say on the web "I lol'd". Levels WOULD be broken. Some levels are heavily based on platform jumping. Allowing free flight, as they suggest may happen, would completely break those levels. Those guys probably know nothing about the game, and are mostly talking out of their ***. | 2010-06-27 15:08:00 Author: Melfice Posts: 269 |
If the costume displayed the jetpack powerup differently then sure it could work. This seems like a MGS and POTC style creation pack so maybe there's a character enhancement or something that allows this. I'm sure Donkey could clear this up.:hero: | 2010-06-27 15:54:00 Author: Reef1978 Posts: 527 |

I'm sure Donkey could clear this up.:hero: Agreed, that the jetpack is displayed differently is possible and would make it work. What the guys at Kombo are suggesting is that some characters have an innate ability to fly, not requiring the jetpack at all. This is highly doubtful. | 2010-06-27 16:06:00 Author: Melfice Posts: 269 |

There is definitely no power enhancements in these packs. Definately. Why the hell would MM put in a new enhancement? With LBP2 packed with lots of new ones, why would they? And, why should they? | 2010-06-27 19:47:00 Author: talbot-trembler Posts: 1114 |
I'm really excited about the level pack, I can't get enough of new materials, music etc... but no rush for the costumes though, I'll wait till all the packs are released, and maybe buy the best one..! | 2010-06-27 19:52:00 Author: dajdaj03 Posts: 1486 |
Definately. Why the hell would MM put in a new enhancement? With LBP2 packed with lots of new ones, why would they? And, why should they? I didn't expect them to but, why the hell would they? Why the hell not? I'm not even in favor of flight capable costumes or anything, but adding a new enhancement isn't going to kill anyone, it would carry over into LBP2 & give people incentive to buy the new costume packs---not that I think Marvel Costume Packs need any further incentives to sell, and personally, I buy everything they put out just to support the cause, even though I've been wearing the same costume since 2008. And why should they? Because ***** it, that's why! | 2010-06-28 01:26:00 Author: ApeCheese Posts: 369 |
No Mr. Fantastic? Why do we get all the other members of the Fantastic 4 but not him? That's like if they offered a Star Trek pack with no Kirk. | 2010-06-28 03:35:00 Author: JawboneX Posts: 90 |
this looks awesome! 20 costumes !!!! and 4 levels! Might get this. (probably will) Everybody knows you will dont tease lol I, CheesyDemon, solemnly swear to use my powers for good and not for evil... when i feel like it SO BE IT! | 2010-06-28 07:22:00 Author: CheesyDemon Posts: 170 |
definitely getting Ironman and Wolverine. I would have thought the level pack would have 5 levels instead of 4 like the MGS and PotC packs. the extreme number of costumes make up for it though. | 2010-06-28 09:55:00 Author: Arctos13 Posts: 258 |

Why make a Green Goblin glider when you won't always use it during the pack? | 2010-06-28 11:48:00 Author: talbot-trembler Posts: 1114 |
...Plus an enhancement would be stupid and inconsistant. Why make a Green Goblin glider when you won't always use it during the pack? Allow me to refer you to my previous post where I clearly stated: Because ***** it, that's why! I don't even care to see a Green Goblin glider but, just for the sake of argument; consistent, inconsistent? MM can do whatever they feel like, you think giving players some lame Green Goblin glider enhancement is going to hurt sales of LBP2? Christ no! It would probably just help sell Marvel packs & that's not stupid at all, business-wise. I mean most LBP fans will get LBP2 irregardless of some worthless Green Goblin glider, but if it were an exclusive enhancement included in the Marvel pack those that might not be inclined to splurge on a Marvel pack would possibly reconsider it. | 2010-06-28 13:06:00 Author: ApeCheese Posts: 369 |
You are aware that any and all content from LittleBigPlanet will be available in LBP2, right? Water, Paintinator. Everything'll be there for us to use so anybody choosing to stay with LBP1 will do so because they are content with the tools available in that game. Choosing to stay with LBP1 because of an exclusive feature is stupid, because there won't be any. As for the glider. What difference would it make to the game as it is now? A glider, or jet-boots, would make for a lousy upgrade, since we already have that in the form of the Jetpack. The best Media Molecule might do is give those flying characters a unique flight animation, but I would not hold my breath for that either. | 2010-06-28 15:55:00 Author: Melfice Posts: 269 |

Awesome and then some! ...but how will Invisible Woman work? Are we getting her blue costumed form, or will she literally be invisible? Probably blue. I am hoping for little details like Wolverine's claws extending when angry or being able to move Doc Ock's arms with sackboy's. But what I think would be great are some skin tones. | 2010-06-28 17:10:00 Author: Jedi_1993 Posts: 1518 |

Why put in a new game changing element? To keep catering to the original LBP. Once LBP2 is out, they won't be dropping the first completely. Not everyone with the first game will get the second. Besides, LBP won't be out until November. They could give us something to wet our LBP appetites before the sequel. | 2010-06-28 17:54:00 Author: SackBolt Posts: 97 |

Iron Man costume is very detailed. Definately getting it! | 2010-06-28 18:44:00 Author: talbot-trembler Posts: 1114 |
Iron Man costume looks great. Why is the chest beam emitter diamond shaped? Artistic license or part of the comic lore? Also, does anybody know why it took so long for the Marvel DLC to be released? I am wondering if some of the LBP2 power ups were originally going to be tied to the Marvel stuff as DLC. Like a grappling hook web slinger or power glove hulk hands. | 2010-06-28 18:58:00 Author: LittleBigDave Posts: 324 |

Yeah, they were slightly exaggerating last week when they said: "We'll kick things this Monday, June 28 with more art and information than you can shake a Skrull at." Either that, or they're extremely bad at shaking skrulls. | 2010-06-28 19:11:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |

Iron Man costume looks great. Why is the chest beam emitter diamond shaped? Artistic license or part of the comic lore? The Extremis armour in the comics (that's the last armour I'm familiar with myself ('Round the Civil War crossover). I have no idea if Stark's upgraded since.) has a diamond shaped chest-piece. Also, in the film (Iron Man 2), it's also got this shape in the end. | 2010-06-28 21:48:00 Author: Melfice Posts: 269 |

Looks pretty real, like plastic real I mean. Anyone know if these are he same models as the ones in LBP2 and in LBP2 the graphics engine just makes it look prettierful? LBP2's engine does make things prettier, yes. In any case, whaddaya mean pretty plastic? Of course it does! It's LBP, where you can have a fly costume made of bottle caps and a tack holding the cardboard wings to the back of Sackboy. Poor Sackboy. The agony we put him through just to dress him up, and he takes it all with a smile. Bless his cotton stuffing. EDIT: I think it's safe to say that either, the Human Torch, Invisible Woman, or the Thing will be unveiled tomorrow! Considering 20 costumes, and seven or eight days (including the weekend, not sure if they'd updated then), I'm thinking they'll take the big guns and showcase them separately, and shove the rest together. I'm also thinking they'll show the Fantastic Four together as well. Well... Fantastic Three, in this case, but maybe they've got Richards in the Level Pack, instead of the Costume packs? The past did show us they always sneak a throw-away character in the Level Packs (Gurgolovic Soldier and Cannibal). Considering Richards is fairly mundane in terms of appearance when it comes to a translation into Sackboy... It's basically his hair that makes him stand out. This is ignoring Susan, of course, of whom we have no further information as to how she'll look (or won't look, if they decide to make her translucent in the game). EDIT 2: Also, I'm being a complete Marvel nerd, even though I'm not. For those not very familiar with Marvel Comics Richards = Mr. Fantastic Susan = Susan Storm = Invisible Woman | 2010-06-29 10:29:00 Author: Melfice Posts: 269 |

So, I was wrong with my guess. Not the entire Fantastic Four. Hmm... I wonder how they'll fit all 20 in one week. *shrugs* Kinda sad that this isn't a buff-body, like in the Incredibles pack or the gorilla, but I'm loving the hands and the brow. EDIT: Actually, his chest is more pronounced, but it's still slightly disappointing. Looking fairly good, though! Starting July 7th and every other week following, we’ll introduce four different Marvel Costume Packs, each with five different costumes depicting Marvel’s mightiest Super Heroes and most dreaded Super Villains. There'll be a costume pack out every other week. So the first one will be out on the 7th July, second on the 21st July, third on the 4th August, and last on the 18th August. It makes sense this way, because most people who intend to buy all the costumes probably won't be able to buy all 20 at once. NB. These are the dates for Europe. | 2010-06-29 19:55:00 Author: Rhys125 Posts: 841 |

Too bad they're not releasing them all at the same time.. ): It is smart for them to release them gradually since not everyone can spend money on 20 costumes plus a level pack all at once. By spreading out the costumes, it makes it easier on the wallet...or at least gives the illusion that you are not spending all that money, even though I will be since I have to get all 20 costumes and that darn level pack because Marvel and Media Molecule are so awesome and have created something most beautiful and wonderful and amazing and super cool. | 2010-07-02 06:38:00 Author: Spider-Jew Posts: 1090 |

If it IS the ones you linked to... considering what Iron Man looks like, I wouldn't place any money on that being representative of what Wolverine and Captain America will look like. EDIT: And the either waited so long for licensing reasons, or because Marvel suddenly had the idea (thanks to the popularity of the first Iron Man film) to tie this in with the upcoming Avengers film. Or to tide us over 'till said Avengers film. It could be a myriad of reasons, and I doubt either Media Molecule or Marvel will tell us which. | 2010-07-02 13:56:00 Author: Melfice Posts: 269 |

The Background ( http://www.littlebigplanet.com/images/assets/shared/dlc/imagery/marvelkit-background.jpg). A great alternative to the Metropolis background. The Materials ( http://www.littlebigplanet.com/images/assets/shared/dlc/imagery/marvelkit-materials.jpg). In my opinion, the comic book materials are pretty useless, almost like the "Incredibles memorabilia material". The others could come in handy though! Oh, and there are 3 music tracks, and a sound effect item! | 2010-07-02 18:53:00 Author: Rhys125 Posts: 841 |
Awesome, thanks Rhys ! I find Dr. Octopus' skin a bit simple (it's just a skin), but the rest looks simply great ! | 2010-07-02 19:14:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
These costumes have been brilliant! The new background is already in my top 4... Decorations display alittle forward thinking with that top/down roof- skylight and rusty fan | 2010-07-02 19:31:00 Author: Gravel Posts: 1308 |
WOW! not world of warcraft Those decorations look awesome and the background is nice, a new city background, yay! The stickers look useless to me, but maybe there is some nice sticker that I will eventually use... The objects look kinda meh, nothing that I could think about to use... at least for now. Those masks seem useless to me. The comic materials also look useless to me, but maybe they look nice when stickered black Those other materials, especially the black and white "concept" materials just gave me some ideas, and that rock material could be useful. Let's hope they have some epic music in the pack, I mean... three songs, at least one has to be good, why not all of them EDIT: Almost forgot... SOUND EFFECTS! Can't get enough of them | 2010-07-02 19:51:00 Author: napero7 Posts: 1653 |
I just hope they bring the classic Venom Costume. Didn't like his new look. Haha...isn't this Rock-Material the Thing's Skin? The Decorations are cool but the Objects...hmm...i dunno. | 2010-07-02 20:10:00 Author: DeKay1980 Posts: 183 |
Haha...isn't this Rock-Material the Thing's Skin? Oh please no, it would be too awkward to know that and play a level that uses that material in a cave or something | 2010-07-02 20:20:00 Author: napero7 Posts: 1653 |

It looks like it's The Thing's skin ! Useful for us to make our own animated character. About the objects, indeed. One emblem, two weapons, and three heads... I guess it's not that easy to make, but I'm a bit disappointed. They could've made a spider web, the Green Goblin's glider, maybe cuddly toys in the image of Marvel characters (this would've been way cute ! ). I dunno, there's so much to do with Marvel. But I'm glad anyway. | 2010-07-02 20:25:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |

@Oddmania Yeah, you, me, and around three others bought it. The Valentines Pack was out for a day (I think) and this pack will definitely be out for a MUCH longer time, which will probably mean more people will buy it. | 2010-07-02 21:10:00 Author: Kog Posts: 2358 |
I'm always excited about level kits,...but.... I feel a little disappointed here, especially by the materials (except the stone one), the stickers and objects... too much specific and hard to use for something else... I'm buying it anyway but let's hope the musics and the sounds will be good! | 2010-07-02 21:12:00 Author: dajdaj03 Posts: 1486 |
Looks like I'm pinning my hopes on the audio objects then... Pretty poor show from the Materials/stickers... Some of those decorations might be useufl, but still very specific :S | 2010-07-02 21:18:00 Author: Mrgenji Posts: 803 |

The Valentines Pack was out for a day (I think) and this pack will definitely be out for a MUCH longer time, which will probably mean more people will buy it. Didn't they release it again ? I mean, I bought it some weeks ago and Valentine's Day was way far away (some friends of mine had got it for several days). I'm always excited about level kits,...but.... I feel a little disappointed here, especially by the materials (except the stone one), the stickers and objects... too much specific and hard to use for something else... I'm buying it anyway but let's hope the musics and the sounds will be good! Right, that's rather specific I like the windows decorations anyway, and the urban materials with the buildings and the windows could be useful. Making a Marvel level would be the best way to use this pack, obviously. | 2010-07-02 21:24:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
Folks here are talking about a sound effects item, which sounds awesome, but I'm not seeing that in the list of contents. Are we sure we're getting that? I too love the background but am otherwise a bit disappointed with the objects and materials, especially given the rich source material. I was really hoping for a proper 3D skyscraper material. But maybe there will be a level kit #2 after LBP2 arrives if this one is a big hit. The costume details are also a bit perplexing. The thing's costume is entirely comprised of a single "skin", while Mystique has separate hair, eyes, goggles, skin and then also a "mask"? No separate hand accessory mentioned for Daredevil, but Doc Oc somehow has both "Tentacle Arms" and a separate "Claw"? Are these piece breakdowns sometimes erroneous? Overall, while I have mixed feelings on some of the implementation, I'm still loving the theme and will be buying every last bit of this stuff. | 2010-07-02 21:28:00 Author: LittleBigDave Posts: 324 |

According to LittleBigPlanet.com (http://www.littlebigplanet.com/en-us/game_guide/ps3/downloadable_content/marvel_level_kit/), there's gonna be three new music tracks, but they don't say anything about sounds. However, on the French version of the website, they say Effets sonores and Musiques , so we can assume there will be sounds and musics. Wet & Sea. Hmmm, well in the "Included" categories for The Incredibles Level Kit (http://www.littlebigplanet.com/en-us/game_guide/ps3/downloadable_content/the_incredibles_level_kit/), they also listed the category of "sound effects", but I think that's just because the music objects are also more broadly seen as sound effects. So I'm not optimistic here. (Though it just occurred to me that we may be able to record our own sound effects using the custom voice over tool when LBP2 arrives, and that could stir up a whole new artistic specialty to the LBP community!) | 2010-07-02 22:04:00 Author: LittleBigDave Posts: 324 |

Some of these first costumes are spiffy. I can finally finish my MegaMan Volnutt (or helmetless Mega Man) costume with Dr Octopus's hair. (It's the closest to his hair...) Some of the costume items are confusing, I mean, look at Mystique (http://www.littlebigplanet.com/en-gb/game_guide/ps3/downloadable_content/mystique_costume/). Look at the costume items. Mystique Mask, Mystique's Goggles, Mystique's Hair, Mystique Skin, Mystique's Belt, Mystique's Eyes. Is she even wearing a pair of goggles? And which part is her mask? Shame though, I'm going on holiday for two weeks starting Monday. | 2010-07-02 22:58:00 Author: Beed28 Posts: 200 |
I'm confused, all I see on Mystique's head are the hair and the eyes, but not a sign of any kind of goggles or masks. Unless it has some additional parts that aren't shown in the picture, ofcourse. | 2010-07-02 23:06:00 Author: Laina Posts: 99 |
No, Mystique isn't wearing Goggles. Bou the Sounds... the 'thwipp' sound of Spidey's Web would be cool! I'm buying every single bit of this Stuff. I hope i don't have to wait longer than you guys. | 2010-07-03 00:32:00 Author: DeKay1980 Posts: 183 |

Doc Ock is so awesome as well. Just the hair seems a little odd to me, like he has dreads. I thought it would be more of a bowl cut look or some short hair, but oh well...it is still Marvel and Media Molecule epicness and I will BUY!!!!!! | 2010-07-03 08:11:00 Author: Spider-Jew Posts: 1090 |
Why is The Thing just a single skin!? I wanted those gloves and that furrowed brow so I could make a better Hellboy... Can't wait to make my own supervillain costume to be honest..... xD | 2010-07-03 10:08:00 Author: Gavin Posts: 338 |

Erm... I think I recall hearing about the claws during my "trip"... hope they didn't remove that. Yes they definitely haven't removed that. And it's definitely not a 'glitch'. Hey guys I think someone already post this but here is the link: http://www.ps3blog.net/2010/07/02/the-little-big-planet-marvel-comics-level-kit-arrives-on-tuesday/ Also look at this pic what is next to the wing it looks like the grappling hook but is decoration lol http://www.ps3blog.net/wp-content/uploads/marvelkit-decorations-1024x1024.jpg | 2010-07-03 14:53:00 Author: Arnald23 Posts: 1843 |
Also look at this pic what is next to the wing it looks like the grappling hook but is decoration lol I think its the one of the claws from Doc Ock tentacles (you don't know how close I was to writing testicles, lol) but yeah your right it does look like end of the grappling and to me I think it looks like one of those weird claymore type thing from Half-Life that cling on to the floor. | 2010-07-03 15:08:00 Author: CYBERSNAKE Posts: 280 |
The materials looked like it could be used in an echo-themed level. The decorations on the other hand looked amazing and the stickers could be useful for making a comic book themed level. The background is not what I would have expected but I would like to see what it would look like in one of my levels. Looking forward to buy this DLC when it comes out, as soon as I'm back in LBP after being delayed for a few days due to router issues. | 2010-07-03 17:17:00 Author: JustinArt Posts: 1314 |

Level pack out next week! I'll be getting that no doubt, maybe a costume or two too. | 2010-07-03 19:57:00 Author: monstahr Posts: 1361 |
The parts listed on the costumes seems to be messed up unless there's something I don't know. As has already been mentioned, it lists a Mystique mask and goggles, a Doc Oc claw along with the tentacles (the claws aren't separate from the tentacles are they? That would be wierd), it only lists the Thing's skin (if that's the case, it would be the first skin that includes molded parts), and it lists DD's gloves, but not his nunchuks (which sucks cuz that means the gloves and nunchuks are one piece, so you'll have to do some fancy stickering to make other costumes with nunchuks). I have to say that I'm not too thrilled with the fact that it's gonna' cost around $30 to get everything. That's half the price of a new game, and I wouldn't say all this stuff adds up to half a game's worth of stuff. Is there any word on whether there'll be a mega-bundle for buying all the marvel content at once? (I know it's extremely doubtful: they've never made bundles for the costume and level packs before: Mgs, Potc). Oh well, I probably won't get it all right away, but I will eventually. | 2010-07-03 22:16:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |

Yeah, that's what I was saying in another forum - the materials look atrocious - and I'm really bummed out that the decorations are "heads" of characters for a 3 of the 12. As you said, I understand this is a "marvel" kit - but I can think of a hundred things that could be used that aren't so specific and could be used for other levels. I'll probably still get it for the music. But very disappointed in what I've seen advertised for this level pack. | 2010-07-06 06:34:00 Author: CYMBOL Posts: 1230 |

Maybe it's just me, but I find that creativity in LBP actually thrives with a pack like this. It forces creators to think outside the box and use the objects and decorations in ways that defy their initial appearance. Just noticed there's a new Wing decoration in the Level Kit. I smell an epidemic of sacks running around with huge wings *remembers when the Valentine Pack was re-released* I'm really contemplating if I want to get the level kit now. The materials are kinda...meh. Nice decorations. Never really cared for stickers in packs like this. Background is meh. I wonder if the music will be any good. Hoping for some interactive ones! | 2010-07-06 22:19:00 Author: GreyMRP Posts: 588 |

According to the webiste, it should come out wordwide on the 6th (today), except in the USA (tomorrow). I guess it's a typo, I've got an European store and it's not been released yet. | 2010-07-06 22:49:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |

The PSN store always updates on Tuesdays now. Expect it to start showing up in about another hour or 2. | 2010-07-06 22:54:00 Author: Sack-Jake Posts: 1153 |
