PSN: tsr13 Enjoy a space-themed roller coaster ride in the dark. Up to 4 players. Although this isn't based on movies like my first two levels, it was inspired by and modelled after Space Mountain (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/magic-kingdom/attractions/space-mountain/), a ride found in Disney theme parks. There are no obstacles, no challenges, and no deaths. Just hop on board the coaster and enjoy the ride.... but you may have to wait in line first. I made this level mostly to amuse myself and see what kinds of crazy lighting effects I could come up with. The coaster started out small and quickly developed a mind of its own, and when it was all done I realized I had enough content for a stand-alone level. Veteran LBP'er and master level creator Teebonesy (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/member.php?u=3340) was the inspiration for the "line" scene. (If you've ever played his levels you'll see where I got my ideas.) Although some aspects of this level are straight out of Space Mountain (e.g., the pyramid structure and coaster cars themselves), most of it is straight out of the strange, dark corners of my brain. I had a lot of fun creating this level, and I hope you enjoy it. As of March 23, 2009 this level has 404 plays, 62 hearts, and a 4-star rating. Yes, Teebonesey is a genius. And yes, I'll play this too. | 2009-03-24 07:51:00 Author: dkjestrup Posts: 672 |
You rock. I owe you one for playing all my stuff. Regarding Teebonesy, of course I loved The Movies, but ever since playing anti-LBP I knew I wanted to do a crowd scene. The reindeer section of anti-LBP nearly had me in tears I was laughing so hard. | 2009-03-24 08:22:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |

I'll try to play it if I remember tomorrow, but if I haven't replied in a while, feel free to PM me. | 2009-03-24 08:26:00 Author: dkjestrup Posts: 672 |
I played this level before with VMethos and I have to say that it was great! The quick pass thing was brilliant. | 2009-03-24 12:26:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |

Funny thing about this level is I played it before I read the thread and the whole front section I was thinking to myself.... this guy has definitely been to Disney World. lol I do occasionally like coaster levels and this one is pretty cool. I'm into space themes too so you had me on two levels. Mechanics were cool - including the chugging on the uphill portion of the coaster. I admired your gassy nebulae and had a hearty chuckle at the reversal of fortune of the alien versus spaceship scenes. Very cute. I gave it 4 stars and really had fun playing it. Thanks for sharing it. | 2009-03-25 06:31:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
You're fast! As always, I appreciate the play, the feedback, the insight, and the rating. | 2009-03-25 07:05:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
You're fast! I'd actually played it right after the other two but hadn't posted yet. | 2009-03-25 07:08:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
I played it and enjoyed it. 5 stars and a heart. I liked the LED, but instead of it going: > >> >>>>>>>> it should go > >> >>>>>>>> .....>>>>> .............> > | 2009-03-25 07:20:00 Author: dkjestrup Posts: 672 |

Good call on the LED sign. That should be a fairly easy change - I think I'll do that. Basically, offscreen I have a bar attached to a piston set to flipper motion. All I need to do is increase the maximum length of the piston and I should get the effect you describe. | 2009-03-25 17:31:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
