Sack-A-Tron: The Adventures of SackFlynn

Follow SackFlynn through the Sack-A-Tron game matrix. Defeat the MPC and win back the net!

This level is based on the 1982 movie Tron (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084827/), content adjusted for copyright of course. It follows the storyline of the film, and while fans of the movie will better understand some of the references, this level stands on its own story-wise. I would classify this level as a semi-platformer with some dodging elements, a maze, and a simple vehicle sequence.

I published this level way back in November 2008 - it was my first. It lacks some of the polish and more advanced techniques I learned in my later levels, but for me that gives it some charm.

As of March 23, 2009 this level has 592 plays, 50 hearts, and a 4-star rating.

Nice - I'll give your Tron level a play as well then. I'm always interested in another perspective.

I think you did play this already if I recall from GFAQs... Well, I hope you liked it. I was the same age when the movie came out, but I sort of rediscovered it a few years ago. Great film, especially for anyone interested in video games.

LOL! My mistake.... Well that makes a heck of a difference! With the movie being out 10 years before you were even an idea, I can hardly blame you for never seeing it. Regardless, if you get a chance you should check it out. I think you'll be able to appreciate it.

Greetings Program!

Just played the level and I like it! I think it's cool how we can both be fans of the same film and still focus on different parts of the film. Also your style is much more technically correct than mine I think. I tend to go big with the visuals and while your level is really nicely designed and fun to walk around it, it's much more tame than mine. (btw - the game name I think was "Space Paranoids"... did you change it intentionally for copyright reasons?)

I loved your depiction of the arcade games and the laser (I uploaded a photo for your amusement too.) The game play is much more sophisticated than mine and I had a lot of fun navigating the electrified grids and running through the maze section. The MCP was tricky for me. Took me forever to get to the brain of the MCP - but I played it pretty safe after getting zapped by the bugs.

Overall a really fun level to play and a great tribute to a cool movie from the 80's! Gave it 5 stars and a heart.
