Sam P posted this on the workshop forums: Work is ongoing to improve online play that should radically enhance its performance but that update isn't due for a while yet. I don't get lag online by myself but sometimes playing with friends is just impossible.

I've played with a few people. Lag is always terrible for me, but at least now it's... playable. Maybe after that update I'll be able to see the paintballs coming out of the paintinator instead of just trying to guess when/where I'm actually firing.

I don't get much lag when online but that may be because I almost never go on online co-op. When I do go on online co-op at the start it seems almost unplayable with the huge amounts of lag. So this should be a nice update.

The only lag I find is sometimes playing with players using wireless, most of the non laggy games are with wired players. I have had some great levels with players from the States, the UK, Ireland and Puerto Rico but hey if Mm can improve it even more for those having issues it can only be a good thing for the game.

I have had some great levels with players from the States, the UK, Ireland and Puerto Rico but hey if Mm can improve it even more for those having issues it can only be a good thing for the game. Yeah being wired really help. I'm actually having a WAYYYY better speed when my PS3 is wired. .

Hmm... Edam fixed lag, tho only for a couple of weeks, lag's never been as bad as before it, tho its still bad. Wonder if this will last longer

Good to hear that the internet issues are being dealt with. I get terrible problems with random disconnections from LBP online whilst playing a level with friends. Good stuff
