New glitch! -- Demo now. Tutorial soon.

Archive: 9 posts

Hi again! I recently discovered a pretty crazy and 'useful' glitch. It turns materials 'foggy' but you can still see their texture. It looks AMAZING on fairy lights. (Leaves long trippy tracers when they're in motion..)

You get different effects by using the glitch in different ways. I made a quick and fun demo level to show off the effects. And I'm currently working on a TUTORIAL so EVERYONE can join in the fun!! Please be patient, want to make a good one.

Some of you may have seen these effects in create mode before. But the tricky part was getting the effect into PLAY mode. Usually, the effect will just go away.

Anyways, please check it out! I think you'll like it! "Trippy Glitch Demo"

(And if you like it, please check out my REAL levels.. I recommend "Invasion On Planet X"... Thanks! )

Just checked it out - pretty cool. I had some stuff on one of my levels do this and I freaked out thinking it was corrupt. I had lost the level to a failed to load error then on the rebuild this started happening right after I moved a big chunk of the level as a group. It's really weird when the scoreboard does it. Couldn't begin to imagine how to recreate it but it's a fantastic effect. Thanks for pointing it out!2009-03-23 07:37:00

We tried to move the entire level of Centralia ... this turned the whole level into that gas. It also happened when we glued something that was emitted after deleting the emitter. ... the second one wrecked the entire level, though. :O2009-03-23 12:27:00
