Watching people get busted is funny!

Archive: 22 posts

So, about an hour ago I was at the mall. As I walked from my car to the front door, I heard the unmistakable sound of a turbo boost coming from a car racing down the boulevard around the mall.

I turned to watch a black Subaru Impreza WRX STi screech around the corner and floor it down the next straightaway, when suddenly an RCMP cruiser flicked on his lights and did a U-turn after the guy, chasing him into the mall parking lot.

Talk about stupidity. No doubt the guy was written up for speeding and dangerous driving, not to mention perhaps his car was nabbed since its entirely likely it was running illegal racing parts.

I loled. Anyone else got funny stories of people getting busted?

no - but that's funny. I am often amazed by people behaving as if the rules don't apply to them in public too. It should be interesting to hear other people's experiences. There are a lot of stories out there.2009-03-22 21:10:00

I remember watching something on Spike TV, it was a cop show. It had recordings of real incidents, it was funny, but sometimes creepy, but in the end the baddies would get busted. Actually one time an Army man stole a tank, and started driving through -INSERT PLACES NAME HERE- crushing cars, and dealing massive damage to the area. He went onto the highway, and tried to cross the median, but got stuck. The police got to it, and (I may of heard this wrong but I doubt it.) killed him. Kinda weird, I thought he would've gone to prison.

But I have never seen anyone get busted in real life, but maybe I will one day.

I once saw a guy rear end a police truck after breaking a red light, the whole front right of his car was gone and he was oozing motor oil everywhere... and he tried to drive away like nothing happened! OF course, he only got a few yards before his car stalled for good.2009-03-23 15:48:00

I saw the exact same story on Destroyed in Seconds on Discovery! Unfortunately I can't remember the town's name either. It was wild, man.

I think that was in Los Angeles, CA. Pretty sure it was.

EDIT: San Diego - I stand corrected. Palm trees must have thrown me - we don't have those here in Wiscoinsin. Well - we don't have them for long anyway.

. . . I'm without words... not only at that but also that it occassionally happens in some places, I've heard of people knocking off stores with syringes and forks...

I haven't got any funny stories of people getting in trouble with the police that I have seen with my own eye, but if you watch TV you'll probably get loads of funny stories like these. Some people really don't plan out their crimes.2009-03-23 22:23:00

I don't have any stories of people getting caught, except the occassional shoplifting, which aren't really funny.

But what gets me is what happened a few months ago, I was driving with my friend, when we stopped to get something to eat, we get out of the car, and see this Mustang GT500 around the corner on the spotlight, the light turned green, and this guy burned out his car for about 4 seconds, before he took off, he started driving and I have no idea what happened but the car went out of control and started spinning, and he couldn't stop it, and he drove into the opposite side, and crashed into a car.

No one was hurt, but it's funny to see people try to act "cool," when they can't even drive.

Poor Mustang.

Back when I lived in London, ON, I watched a guy get stabbed just outside a bar during a fight at about 1am. The perp and his friends took off, dropped the knife in the street, and this woman was screaming her head off while looking after the victim who I presume was the guy she was with.

It just felt like the wrong place to be, so my friends and I hailed the nearest cab and hopped it and took off like hell. We told the cabbie to call 911 and he said it had already been done.

That was disturbing.

Couple of shopliftings. A guy at my school's sister saw a murder, so they moved under witness protection program (to our school) but the guy told his friends, they found out, so now they get their cars keyed all the time and wing-mirrors broken, house damaged etc.2009-03-24 22:46:00
