Cat vs Jaguar ( h4h )

I get annoyed with kids 'cause I'm 14, and I was trying to convince him to get LBP, but he insisted that it was "kiddy". Besides, if it turns out it's really good and you give him a heart, you get a heart back! Win win! (although, I got my creator heart about 3 months ago, so the excitement has worn off a little....) What if this turns out to be the next Azure Palace but we were so focused on H4H we missed it???? (with a kitty instead of a water serpent...) | Ok.... this level is flat-out AMAZING!!!! Here's the drill - there are 2 jaquars on wheels side by side. You jump on one, your buddy jumps on the other one. You GRAB THE JAGUAR! IT TAKES OFF LIKE A BULLET AND RAMS IN TO A WALL AT THE FINISH LINE! Can anything be improved here? I submit that it CANNOT! Man, I think Jaeyden wasted a BUNCH of time designing Abyss! All of that excitement is wrapped up in a level which takes less than 8 seconds to complete (that's including waiting for the start gate to open). Watch out cool levels, here comes kitty race! Whew. Ok, back to designing my ramp clone with a jaguar on wheels. | Back on topic - The thing I truly enjoyed about this level is that he didn't just throw 2 "cheetahs on wheels" in the level. He took the time to sticker them differently so you could differentiate between the "Jaguar" and the "Cat". This created a much more "realistic" ambience to the level that putting 2 cheetahs side by side simply would not have accomplished. This detail sets this level apart from the run-of-the-mill cheetah racing levels. Another thing I truly enjoyed was the "thunk" of running into a wall at the end. The quick ending was akin to an unbelievable plot twist at the end of a good movie. You TRULY knew the level was, in fact......... over. PROS: + Stickers to differentiate jaguar from kitty. + "Thunk" + HFH added a hint of suspense into the playing of this level. CONS: - I'm sure the thermo would allow 3 animals next to each other - maybe... Tiger vs Jaguar vs Cat. - A different music selection would have been more appropriate. - You know... | The funniest thing about this thread is-- it is so clear from the first, that a fat klown is one of us having a good ol lark. Cubbage truly steals the show with his second review of this level. | Interestingly, this level ended up being one of the most influential levels in the short history of LittleBigPlanet. It inspired many other rocket cheetah racing levels (of course, none as good as the original). | Finally someone brings the fight for the "fastest animal on the world" tittle to LBP! I think that everyone understands me if I say that I couldn't wait to play this. Okay, now my review: Many levels do really put a lot of effort in the escenary, the visuals and all that. But, what stunned me is the fact that you went for a different aproach. You did take all that out to let us see the Mm provided background. Finally, some new and innovative concept. The gameplay was also great; I was kept all the time grabbing onto the cat, and it kept running till the very end. But what I think that it was an also innovative element here it's also the fact that I didn't know what would happen if I did ungrab the cat. Would it turn into a jaguar? A flying turtle? A giant taco? Descartes?? That did really at suspense to it; I couldn't ungrab it; my mind explodes just by thinking of the inmense number of possibilities. I also liked how you did only place only one checkpoint; sometimes, less, it's more. Aren't we all tired of going trough many of them? You did completely resolve this horrible problem. Thanks. Pros: +Cat +Jaguar +The mystery of it; what does happen if I ungrab them? +Only the necessary number of checkpoints +Minimalist visuals Cons: -There is no sequel! | A SEQUEL!? IMPOSSIBLE! It could be only a mere copy fo the original, there's no way it can be improved IMHO, but since it comes out of the mind of a so skilled and original author, who knows? I can't wait to play the sequel, nor my son and even my girl!! Also my mom (was passing through the room while we was playing) was really impressed and amazed. She asked me ''Why you didn't come up to publish a level like THIS instead of throwing away all your spare time with that stupid platforms madness and idols thing... you deserve the low visibility of your crappy levels... what have I done wrong to have a son like you?????'' Seeing how Migloshin's mum did also enjoy the very concept behind the level, with such calm like people, we could design a whole new bunch of levels that help them rest/fall asleep. Such a POWERFUL idea like Jaguar vs Cat could be used for the benefit of many people with sleeping/relaxing problems just by slightly changing the two animals into less agressive things!
