I'm working on a level that has a pretty big area, but the maximum zoom for the camera zone is not even close to the angle I need to get everything on-screen. Is there a way to get a much larger zoom out of the camera? Has MM considered extending the range quite a bit?

Well, you can't make it zoom out any further unfortunately I haven't heard anything from Mm about extending it as most people don't need to change it...

i found that positioning the camera so that it's high up and looking downwards helps when you want the camera far back. and set the camera so that it doesn't follow the player at all. hope that's a help. otherwise you'll need to wait for Mm to change it. i'm waiting too!

That might help, but I really need a flat head-on view in order to properly play the level. Like in Donkey Kong or a similar game. Edit: I'm thinking about having 5 camera zones, 4 in each corner and one in the center. I might provide a switch system for the player to use so he can change the angles to his liking. Any other suggestions?

Yeah I think you should just add more camra zones, other than that I don't think their is a way to extend it, maybe you can try putting the camra on a moving platform so it moves to every angle to show every part of the level?

That's what I had in mind, just give the player a couple of 3-way switches to control the position of the camera. The only problem I can see with that though is the camera range. If the player moves the platform too far it'll zoom back on him. But I don't think moving the camera out of range will be neccessary anyway.
