We can't really tell you why your level was removed. One possibility is that it was brought down for moderation review because players used Good Grief on it. If it was moderated you should have gotten a message explaining what happened and why AFAIK.2009-03-18 16:26:00

my guess would be that the Stargate franchise has not given MM the ok to allow creators to use Stargate references. Could be the same reason why we haven't seen a level featuring a layout of the Enterprise from STNG (which would be sooo cool IMO)2009-03-18 16:57:00

If you got moderated you're supposed to receive a message telling you why.

If they didn't fill that promise I would simply republish the level right there without modification.

They need to do their moderation properly.

I would suggest getting rid of the obvious copyright infringement material and go from there. If you have names from the Stargate franchise I would suggest just making reference to the...

Certain companies (like Disney for example) are completely insane about protecting their copyright. They go after people who give them props. Maybe the Stargate people are the same way.

As far as I know and of course I am talking for Germany, mentioning a name is nothing that can be sued but using things like logos, music, anything that can most definately get tied to the franchise is protected. A name like "Samantha Carther" on the other hand could under no circumstances be protected because the name is quite normal and common. Simply throw out anything that you took pictures from, logos, music, fotos etc. and your fine.

Names cannot be a problem otherwise a company could sue anybody who gives a bad review.

As far as I know, they aren't very strict. But unless you give credit where credit is due, that's gonna happen. Like he said-I'd take out anything that could be copyrighted.
