Private Eye: The Diner (screenshots)(Video)(Spotlighted)

Finally got it back up but I had republish, I hope you guys enjoy. Mrs. Sackson was murdered and you are the perfect man for the job of finding out who did it. You are about to leave your office when you receive a call from the lady at the diner. She tells you that there is a suspicious looking character hanging out around the diner, so you head over there to check things out. This is based on those old detective movies, so naturally it's in black and white. I placed four clues throughout the level, and when you find a clue your score at the end of the level will be higher than if you just ran through the level. For some reason the screen shots came out in color. Oh well. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v54/kenshin7777/LBP/TheDiner01.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v54/kenshin7777/LBP/TheDiner02.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v54/kenshin7777/LBP/TheDiner03.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v54/kenshin7777/LBP/TheDiner04.jpg BassDeluxe Edit: Techzone has done your video. Here it is mate. ufVcUpWYIzA | 2009-03-16 19:21:00 Author: Sonic5411 Posts: 712 |
I playied this level, and i found it really cool. The style was awesome, grapich/sounds very wellmade, and it could be really an old detective film Nice the idea of the clues (i found 3 ) , and the histeric woman was awesome, but the level was short! Thermo full? I really want to know of the story goes on... Who is the murder? I will do a "riepilogue" of the level: Pros: +Awesome Style +Grapich and Soundtrack +Clues idea and the story +Histeric woman xDD Cons: -To short -Maybe to many "wild animals" Overall, i enjoyied the level, it was very stylish and cool! Call me when the 2nd part goes online 4/5 stars! If you can try my level Sack Quest, the link is in sign, and leave feedbacks Thanks! | 2009-03-16 20:40:00 Author: Dante95 Posts: 504 |

For some reason the screen shots came out in color. Oh well. Here you go. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v54/kenshin7777/LBP/TheDiner01.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v54/kenshin7777/LBP/TheDiner02.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v54/kenshin7777/LBP/TheDiner03.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v54/kenshin7777/LBP/TheDiner04.jpg | 2009-03-16 22:57:00 Author: Coreymill Posts: 85 |

I really liked this level. The visuals were pleasing, nothing that wrong with it. Hearted. | 2009-04-05 07:48:00 Author: dkjestrup Posts: 672 |
I m glad you liked it | 2009-04-05 18:22:00 Author: Sonic5411 Posts: 712 |
great job sonic here's my feedback, i found the level very neat and evrything was well placed and the characters are realistic in life. you had the beggar that asks for money for info and then you got the crazy woman throwing tv sets down the your path which in turn became an obstacle. the only downside to it is its too short and the story wasnt finished... arent you making a sequel? overall the level is beautiful its a shame tho that you only get that many plays on it. keep it up. | 2009-04-05 21:59:00 Author: graygoose Posts: 371 |
The reason it is short is because it is so detailed and yes there is a sequel on the way | 2009-04-06 23:02:00 Author: Sonic5411 Posts: 712 |
This level is neat, although a bit mundane at times. I am more of a platformer person, so this level probably isn't just me. I love the detail though. + Cool visuals + Lots of detail + There is a story, most levels don't even have one - Not much platforming, but that isn't what this level is all about F4F: Frost (in sig) | 2009-04-08 23:04:00 Author: cornontheCOD Posts: 150 |
well im glad you liked it. it might be awhile until i give you feedback because my wireless internet just died. so i cant get on lbp | 2009-04-09 14:36:00 Author: Sonic5411 Posts: 712 |
your level is top class, 5/5 the atmosphere is real cheesy in a good way ya know? its a bit short, but thats nothing. the cluefinding is cool too! i cant really point out anything wrong other than the shortness... i played your level 10 mins ago, before seeing this thread, give one of my two levels a go, i need the feedback more than you, your level has nothin wrong with it psn: megablob | 2009-04-10 01:38:00 Author: MegaBlob Posts: 291 |
thanks for playing i am trying to make part two much longer while keeping the detail | 2009-04-11 16:30:00 Author: Sonic5411 Posts: 712 |
Aside from the obvious shortness (maybe if you used less materials your thermo would go down?), I loved the level.. 5/5/heart. I loved the little details, like the pants you can slide down on to get to the right... I was bummed that I couldn't figure out how to get into the tree (as I could see all the goodies in it)... The one thing that bugged me was after the bedroom (when you go up to the fire escape to get to the water tower) was how easy it was for your sack to fall down to the right after you go out the window... I had several times when I was going for the stairs and just fell right down instead... Not sure why... | 2009-04-11 19:07:00 Author: dobi6 Posts: 359 |
I am glad you enjoyed it about the fire escape problem i am not sure why that happened b/c that has never happened to me but i will be sure to look into it | 2009-04-20 22:59:00 Author: Sonic5411 Posts: 712 |
I just realized I didn't post any comments for you here. My bad. Loved it (obviously) I especially loved the cats & dogs running amok and the angry girlfriend/wife tossing stuff. Total laugh out loud moment for me. The look of the level in general is fantastic and your attention to detail is great. I've never found any glitches or problems with it while playing and I don't have any criticisms either. 5 stars and hearted! Thanks for sharing it and a belated congrats on the spotlight! | 2009-04-21 19:05:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |

ummmm, didn't I post a lengthy review on this thread? Am I losing my mind... Great level for those who haven't checked it out, by the way. | 2009-05-11 04:03:00 Author: LuckyShot Posts: 713 |
Ya you posted it on my old thread but its ok | 2009-06-01 18:06:00 Author: Sonic5411 Posts: 712 |
You know... you can actually get additional feedback on your level if you give someone else feedback-for-feedback on theirs and request feedback instead of trying to bump your thread back up. | 2009-06-01 18:14:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
tried that no one ever followed through though | 2009-06-01 18:21:00 Author: Sonic5411 Posts: 712 |
tried that no one ever followed through though If they don't follow through, I would send them a PM reminding them... then report them if they won't do it. Just make sure when you give feedback on a thread you actually tell them "I would like feedback on such and such a level". I certainly give feedback any time someone asks - I've got a few levels out there that are still F4F. (I'll check this one out later... I've been meaning to anyway - I hear it's a really good level). | 2009-06-01 18:41:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
thanks i ll check out your levels too | 2009-06-01 19:03:00 Author: Sonic5411 Posts: 712 |
Ok, I checked this one out tonight. Very cool. I loved the style and being able to wander around looking for clues. I found all 4 clues, and got to the finish line.. but I wasn't sure whether there was something I was missing - in other words, actually using the clues to solve the crime or whether it would end the same way regardless. | 2009-06-02 04:25:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
This level was quite a nice little adventure. I'm eager to know more. The graphics and the style were really nice. The exploration aspect was also fun. I really liked looking for the clues. I hope though that the sequel will be longer. It was kinda short but it was sweet. 4 Stars/ Multi-Path Oh and can you do F4F please? I'd really like that! The level's in my signature below. Enjoy and thanks! | 2009-06-04 21:03:00 Author: Noroibito Posts: 211 |
