3 Suggestions for MM to improve in Create Mode

Archive: 6 posts

Suggestions:

1. Be able to set the camera (in create mode) out more for play mode (equivalent to how far you can zoom in create when flying).

Why? Well here's an example: I am creating custom fireworks (one's you can actually fire off and not just a pre-made show) and the only way to enjoy them in play mode as of now is having two players 1 strapped with jetpack to fly away from the other player that is near the switch to make the cam zoom out. Also, there are already other levels where this could be useful especially for ones with effects.

2. Speed Settings for the Pop-it Cursor.

Sometimes it is way too slow and annoying.

3. Razor Tool.

Cut apart material. Edge Tool (for custom shapes) or super small material + triangle just doesn't cut it (pun intended?)

Post your reply here if you agree:

I've posted there, but I'd like to affirm my agreement here. The cursor one is most important, especially for grid mode.2009-03-17 20:22:00

- "show/hide" layer option would be godly.

- Decide wich object stick to wich (as long as it's adjacent or superimposed somehow) would also render complicate object way easier to make.

- Material tabs with options when you press Square button on a selected material. This would open for options like setting: color, texture, weight, slippery, transparency, grab yes/no, etc

- Have the option "invisible yes/no" on ALL tools.

Just putting this out there, maybe you know, maybe you don't.

You can decide which object to stick to, for example...

You want your square to stick to the square on it's left, all you do is hold the control stick slightly to the left, it doesn't even have to move, just doing that and gluing it will make it work.

You can also have it only stick to whatever is behind it, by holding R2 I believe.

Again, I'm just putting this here incase you didn't know.

Yeah whaaaaale is completely correct. Except I think Ranger was trying to be more explicit like, say, having a longe bar on the middle layer that is in front of two SEPARATE pieces on the back layer, but only gluing it to one of them. Or something.2009-03-17 22:10:00

Exactly. I want to chose wich to stick to wich. It would save alot of time like when you just want to hide stuff like a mechanism but you don't want your hiding wall to be glued to some moving parts in it.

Also, it would be more precise when you structure your level and would probably prevent those bad surprised where you unglue something that apparently was holding the whole **** level and everything crumbles.
