(We've reached Mars!) Noby Noby Boy
Archive: 40 posts
So yeah, let's talk about it. Isn't it the best game ever? For those of you who don't know what it is: It's a game from the creator of Katamari Damacy. You play a worm named Boy who must stretch, eat, and defecate in order to help his pal Girl. Girl is also stretching, but she is stretching out into space. Everyone on Playstation Network contributes to Girl's growth as a team, so it brings the community very very close. So far we've been able to get to the Moon. It's on to Mars! Yeah, the Girl concept surprised me so much. It's would be awesome to see more stuff like this in other games. Co-op on a global scale is mega 1337. | 2009-03-15 00:31:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |
idk about best game ever but it is very interesting to play. I spent the whole first day just trying to figure out what to do lol I love how they have the whole world participating in making girl bigger | 2009-03-15 00:47:00 Author: Sonic5411 Posts: 712 |
I too spent a lot of the first day I had it figuring out what I was supposed to do. I really find he group play idea interesting but I just can't get into the graphics and the randomness of the game. It's a cool concept but I'm not sure it's for everyone. I'll keep at it and see if it grows on me but so far I'm sort of "meh" about it. | 2009-03-15 06:33:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Noby Noby Boy's daydreams are getting awesome. The official site is also really amazing. Unfortunately, I do not yet have this game. I dream about getting it though. WISHING THIS DAYDREAM COME TRUE o--o.jp | 2009-03-15 15:00:00 Author: LFF Posts: 434 |
I've looked it up just now.. and i must say.. "What the..?" It's one crazy concept.. and it's really cheap I'm considering to buy it, it seems quite fun I read that now that you've come to the moon, (and soon Mars) you unlock more weird creatures in your levels? That's one awesome community-based concept then :O | 2009-03-15 17:21:00 Author: ThommyTheThird Posts: 440 |

Tommy if you like what you see chances are good you'll like the game. If at first glance it looks kinda uninteresting...don't bother. | 2009-03-17 23:23:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |
Um, I'm just wandering about munching and pooing - Noby Noby's got the quickest metabolism I've ever seen! I can't figure out what the objective is, though I haven't spent much time on it. | 2009-03-17 23:41:00 Author: Boogaloo Posts: 254 |
Bought this game a few weeks ago. I dunno, as much as I wanted to enjoy this game, I just couldn't. I'm now starting to regret buying it, and thinking of deleting it from my hard drive. Am I doing something wrong? | 2009-03-19 08:43:00 Author: AwesomePossum Posts: 446 |
Bought this game a few weeks ago. I dunno, as much as I wanted to enjoy this game, I just couldn't. I'm now starting to regret buying it, and thinking of deleting it from my hard drive. Am I doing something wrong? You did the right thing by supporting one of gaming most unique developers. However, if it's not for you then don't feel bad. However, the game isn't that big if I remember correctly so is it really worth deleting from the HDD? Just saying... | 2009-03-19 15:35:00 Author: supersickie Posts: 1366 |
Don't delete it from ur Hdd man...It's a weird game, and not everyone is going to like it, but keep in mind that is not designed to be played hours, it's just a little snack for when you're bored, or feeling down ;D | 2009-03-19 16:48:00 Author: ThommyTheThird Posts: 440 |
i think i'll get it is sounds good enough the global co-op sounds really cool. | 2009-03-19 17:33:00 Author: Don Vhalt Posts: 2270 |
ya i wonder if we are getting close to mars Well, the length to get to the moon was the same as in real life, so after checking up on the distance to mars... nope. | 2009-03-19 17:50:00 Author: LFF Posts: 434 |

I can't figure out what the objective is, though I haven't spent much time on it. the point is as a community to get noby noby girl as far as you can in space and we have got a ton of distance to cover to get to Mars 0.0 | 2009-03-19 23:23:00 Author: Snrm Posts: 6419 |
Yeah, I think using real numbers is maybe a bit too ambitious for the Noby Noby community. They should tone that one down a touch. It is a cool concept though. And the game is one fever dream of a freaking experience. I literally have slipped into some kind of state of delirium playing this game. The graphics are practically awful - An average 10-year old with basic knowledge of any 3d modelling program could easily match this game for visuals. but it's the entire experience this game presents with those graphics, the images and genuine weirdness, that make it unique. It's calm but eerie. Lovely but disturbing. It seems to be designed for you to just get a little bit lost in its worlds now and then. Making things happen, watching things happen, stretching Boy and chopping him in half and eating himself and eating others and pooping everything out, floating through donut clouds, taking animals for a snaking ride, slithering through windows and doors and machines, and tangling into epic-sized knots that entangle with every structure and object in the world while a group of eaten people make their way through the winding digestive tract to an unknown fate, possibly to become genetic hybrids with the other things that have yet to be projectile-pooped. It's the ****edest game I've ever played, but there's just something about it. | 2009-03-20 03:41:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |

It doesn't really have a genre, either. If only game devs would take something from NNB. | 2009-03-20 21:18:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |

Lol, I can stretch like, 150+ meters in 2 minutes. Oh, and according to the creator, offline multiplayer is coming to the game. | 2009-03-22 01:39:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |
if you have money just buy a PSN card We don't have those PSN Cards here I hate my country 'n stuff | 2009-03-22 06:48:00 Author: Yarbone Posts: 3036 |
Yeah... Netherlands is one of those crazy countries which doesn't have those debit cards, or PSN pre-paid cards.. And the creditcard isn't used alot either, since there's a system that lets you make internet purchases, by using your bank account... So yeah.. stupid Netherlands. | 2009-03-22 13:21:00 Author: ThommyTheThird Posts: 440 |
The Netherlands IS quite ignored, I will admit that. Though so is Australia... :. BTW, NNB FTW! A sentance with only acronyms :. | 2009-03-22 13:37:00 Author: Unknown User |
Lol, I can stretch like, 150+ meters in 2 minutes. Oh, and according to the creator, offline multiplayer is coming to the game. Um.. no, she said there would be multyplayer but it's not online multyplayer, its just regular 2+ people in the same room multyplayer as far as i know. | 2009-03-28 21:41:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Um.. no, she said there would be multyplayer but it's not online multyplayer, its just regular 2+ people in the same room multyplayer as far as i know. Get glasses, buddy. According to your quote, I said OFFLINE multiplayer. Oh, today I got SUPER FAT in that game. Really, the stretching isn't nearly as fun as eating and getting fat. I could eat every tree, giant mushrooms, and even DINOSAURS! | 2009-04-07 03:18:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |

Haha, just in case you didn't know, the more you eat the bigger you grow, and the bigger you grow the further you can stretch. Oh and to Awesomemans, my mistake, but i as a matter of fact do happen to need glasses, just can't get them right now. But yes you're right, you did say offline. | 2009-04-07 03:34:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
No seriously, I reccomend to EVERYBODY to eat... a LOT! First just stretch out really far across the world. Then hold triangle to come out of the chimney of your house again. Then begin eating... It's a lot easier to get long when you get fat, too. | 2009-04-07 19:53:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |
Okay, for those of you who haven't played in a while, we have reached Mars! Offline multiplayer is now available, and it's way more fun with a friend. You can also choose from a lot more music now, and it's just a lot weirder. You should go play it now. | 2009-05-24 03:16:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |
Oh, so we actually reached Mars? Cool, i haven't played this one in a while, i'll go check it out! | 2009-05-24 05:39:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
I haven't touched it in quite awhile. Congrats on Mars! Should be interesting | 2009-05-24 05:58:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
lol, 30K in my 1st day back. (W/o autoing, never do autoing as its a controller breaker...) Tho i have noticed, they have taken some restrictions, like now you can stretch +1000m and grow even more than before Also the stripes are different colors each time you stretch.... | 2009-05-24 08:40:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
lol, 30K in my 1st day back. (W/o autoing, never do autoing as its a controller breaker...) What do you mean it's a controller breaker? you can auto really easily without pressing any buttons! First go to earth and find that really long and thin map. Then just stretch to about 1000m, press triangle and put the controller down You should spawn from the chimney, fall straight over the edge, spawn from the chimney, and repeat - you can get 10k+ in about 20 minutes sometimes. Oh and we're literally 500,000,000,000m away from jupiter, so abandon all hope of getting there xD | 2009-05-24 10:25:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |

If 50 Million people go on and stretch 10,000m, then we are there! . | 2009-05-24 11:17:00 Author: Unknown User |
Yeh how are we gonna get to jupitar XD | 2009-05-24 19:55:00 Author: Snrm Posts: 6419 |
lol, took like 3 months to reach Mars, we'll be getting to Jupiter next year... Altho there's multyplayer, so people can auto with 4 controllers now, meaning less time. @Dexiro: The fastest autoing is by keeping pressed L2+R2+L/R 3, trust me, that will reduce your controller's duration by a lot. | 2009-05-24 20:06:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
I figured out how we are gonna reach jupitar!! Well now i guess sometimes after reporting your length the little guy multiplies it. I just reported 5756M and he said its your lucky day and multiplyed it by 568. Making it somthing around 3Million meters! Well that was a big jump for me for the leaderboards XD | 2009-05-24 20:48:00 Author: Snrm Posts: 6419 |
