Sorry if this has been posted before; I searched but couldn't find anything on it. Can anyone let me know if they've experienced the following issues, what causes it, and how to fix it, please? Recently I've been experiencing a strange bug when playing on-line with friends. When we chat while playing, I'm unable to close their chat text bubbles - I have to wait for their bubbles to time out. Also, the background colour of the text bubble is black, for me and them. If I have a text message up at the same time, I have to wait for their text bubble to close before I can see my text displayed. The first time it happened was about 2 days ago. I tried restarting LBP, and when that didn't work I rebooted the PS3. That still didn't work. The only thing that worked was my friend switched to an alternate account. So I thought that maybe the problem wasn't mine. But then yesterday, with a different friend, the same thing happened again while we were playing. It's really, really annoying. If I go back to my pod, alone, everything is fine -- chat text background colours are normal again. I don't know yet if it's a profile size issue. I've gone ahead and deleted the majority of community objects and most of photos. But since doing that I haven't played on-line with any friends. So I'm not sure if that will fix it -- hope to find out later today. In the meantime, if this is a known issue, can someone let me know what it is, or point me to a thread here or elsewhere? Anyway, I've backed up all my data just in case my save ends up corrupted from this... you never know. If anything above is unclear, let me know and I'll try to be more clear. Sometimes I get that occasionally. But it only happens rarely for me so I don't get too annoyed. I really don't have any idea of what could cause this. Maybe it's your internet?

Wait, you can close others chat bubbles? Man i've had the game since release and i didn't know that ...

I don't think it's my internet, Olit, but I dunno... Anyway, it happened again last night, but it was different than before. This time, there were four of us, and only one player's chat text bubble was black and couldn't be closed. The rest were normal and closable. However, it didn't start right away. It happened after we switched hosts (went to a different pod) and had a new game leader. Before that it was working fine. So really odd... still annoying.

Well, what if you can only close the chat bubbles of people on your friends list? Thst might explain the problem, tho i'm not sure that's it.

Just to clarify: these are my PSN friends I'm playing with... although last night, one of the people wasn't on my friends list, yet I could close his chat text bubbles no problem. I couldn't close my friend's bubble though...

I'm having the same problem, as you know Hardsync, me being one of the freinds you had the problem with. It was happening again today while we were playing, and then later on when I had a couple of levels with blizzard_cool. Definetly a strange little bug.
