We haven't forgotten about the Cornish Yarg game update either! The good news is that the update is progressing nicely and we'll have more news on exactly what it does and when you can expect it soon.

Wow! Awesome costumes The monkey king is really good, especially considering that it's free. I'll wait with buying the mini-packs, untill someone posted it's content. But i'll likely get it later anyways. EDIT: Dam, the St patrick's day one isn't online yet.2009-03-12 17:27:00

Is Kai separate from Nariko? If not it's a pretty big slap in the face to everyone who already has the Nariko costume.

I'll admit I'm a bit annoyed with this announcement. Sam has teased us repeatedly that upcoming DLC won't just be costumes, and yet what is planned for the next two months? A bunch of costumes. Oh wait, but there's a sticker pack with Nariko, so I guess it's not JUST COSTUMES.

Sam says you can only buy it as a pack. Nariko & Kai together.

Come to think of it, it is pretty disappointing that there's no decorations or materials at all. At least we're getting new weapons to stick on the Sackboy (even if it's only visual lol) even the Monkey King looks like he's sporting a Bo.		2009-03-12 17:53:00

The Killzone and Heavenly Sword packs could have materials and decorations. The Valentines pack didn't have materials listed and it had 4 I believe.		2009-03-12 17:57:00

Let's hope so, I was very dissapointed with the God Of War stickerpack.
Costumes look fun but as most, I want just a tad more.

Yea - new stuff. I'd really like it if they had new materials too or maybe some Heavenly Sword based levels like the MGS pack. If they don't - guess I'll have to be satisfied with Nariko & Kai. Can hardly wait!2009-03-12 18:17:00

Darn. I was gonna make a thread about the Monkey King. If you went into your Pod and looked at My Content, you could see a picture of it along with the contest-winning costumes.

Am I the only one in the forums who's not buying those costumes? I want materials, tools or anything that can help me make my level better...

It seems MM are taking a lot of their time to make these, and the Play, Create, Share stats still don't work. Kinda weird. I guess they will not fix this soon... they can't sell it in the PSstore...		2009-03-12 19:30:00

It seems MM are taking a lot of their time to make these, and the Play, Create, Share stats still don't work. Kinda weird. I guess they will not fix this soon... they can't sell it in the PSstore...

I'll probably end up buying them anyways because they're cheap. That's a bad reason obviously, but costumes have come in useful before for making custom costumes.

I'm still bitter over Nariko. That cost me well over $20, and now I have to rebuy it again to get Kai. So much for "exclusive preorder" crap. And the only costume pack I actually care about just was announced to be nowhere on the horizon.		2009-03-12 19:43:00

Not even that... and I'm dying to put some of the goodies from it in future levels. Right now I have to make do with the default set of goodies, all I could get were 4 costumes that were freely available, and even for that I had to create a UK PSN account.		2009-03-12 20:35:00

Unfortunately the store isn't available in every EU member country (which is grounds for sanctioning according to EU regulations by the way, but Sony doesn't care much), including mine.		2009-03-12 20:39:00

Well, for those who may say these are too expensive, consider this: They need to make a profit. They are basically putting everything online for free pretty much. How else are they supposed to keep it online then by gouging people to pay for it? Buying these costumes keeps LBP online :O.

They should really vary their simple DLC.

I, for one, is getting tired and won't buy most of those. There's so many things they could do to stir stuff up, keeping things fresh and all the while staying in the "simple DLC zone". Here's example:

- One new interactive song + some stickers

- Small stickers pack (one theme)

- One 3D background

- 3 new materials + some stickers

- 3 new non-interactive songs

- Objects pack (varying in size and themes)

- Variations of the above

I myself am not buying costumes...(Except for the one tat came with the MGS pack) since.. i have to buy stuff via a friend. I don't have a creditcard myself, nor do my parents... The Netherlands doesn't really use creditcards, but my parents don't see that the rest of the world does, and it's often the only way to pay something... That way i don't need to bother my friend all the time, and it would make me look like a geek.. Since costumes are pointless actually.. just fun 2009-03-13 07:03:00

In the latest Sack it to Me (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/03/13/sack-it-to-me-back-into-the-dlc-swing-edition/#more-7707)it says the Buzz character will have stickers as well. It's calling it a mini pack too.

Also on the Playstation blog e-mail that we get, it now shows Nariko with her sword. And the sword as a separate item. Earlier shots showed her without the sword. So maybe it will be optional. And be able to be used with other costumes. I don't know if the original pre order was because I don't have it. So I'm really looking forward to this. I agree for the people who do have it already that it's not fair to make you buy it again to get the other stuff. They should have offered it as two sets. Nariko w/stickers and Kai w/stickers maybe both $1.99.

The sword is a separate costume piece. It goes in the "Neck" category and is pretty stylish to have.		2009-03-14 15:04:00

I'm pretty sure its a staff and not a bow considering almost all monkey kings in stories/legends have a staff.

Just a little side note, if you have a checking account you can sign up for Paypal, which offers an online card for making these exact types of purchases, for people who don't have or don't want an actual credit card/debit card but would still like to participate in making online purchases.
