hands down my best ending for an anime would be: Code Geass: Lelouch of Rebellion/R2 being my top favorite.. CG was the most engaging and interesting anime for me, (yu yu hakusho being second) it had amazing characters, plot twists, action, romance and cleverness of it all.and yes ive seen most of the popular animes, but for me CG is just by far has the best ending of all animes ive seen. tho it was kind of sad but in a good way for me its very memorable. W A R N I N G !!!!! S P O I L E R S !!!!! lelouch taking all the hatred of all the people in the world had to sacrifice himself in the end for a better future, and the sad part is the people who cared for him knew that it was all an act in the end... how sad now for my worst, and that would be: Claymore only because its been left unfinished... and so far they dont have any plans of a sequel. the story and characters were very interesting... but so far i didnt like how i was left hanging like that. not good so now whats your best and worst anime ending? My worst ending would be Full Metal Alchemist... I usually don't really dislike open endings but this anime just had a stupid open ending I thought claymore was cool, but i didn't hate the ending. I always seem to be surprised about how people always hate the ending of any movie or anime... (atleast the people i know >.<) I thought Deathnote had a really good ending. Because Light just died really hard and they found out he was Kira, but he still accomplished his goal

yeah Claymore was really a good anime for me, i loved the action and the sense of hopelessness in its episodes. thats why when it ended like it did, it was sort of made me wanting more. there could be so much more to it than it is now. its just a waste of a "could have been" great series. ive never watched full metal alchemist tho (maybe just several but, i didnt quite get hooked in it) how many episodes are there?

Best : Akira. I know, it's a classic, but the end of the movie is just too awesome. Everytime I watch this movie, I just want to get to the part where Tetsuo can't control his powers anymore. Worst : Samurai Champloo. The series is great, but for me the last 2 or 3 episodes were just bad...

For me, the anime with the best ending is Legend of Black Heaven The last episode is something that you'd expect from a long running series built on giant space battles with extreme consequences. For a show that starts out with a washed up thirty something former rockstar going nowhere in a cubicle, the last episode is every kind of epic. The worst ending would be a tie between every show that just stops without a real ending.

The best ending for me has to be Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Everything about that show is awesome. Love Hina's ending was fair enough. Mahobara's ending was decent, still enjoyable though. Itazura na kiss's ending was IIRC pretty awesome, as was Special A's. Toradora's is going to be rad, once it's up. And Genshiken's wasn't really an ending as such, just a hint of what was to come in series two.

lol! i thought my thread got modded... and realized i posted in the wrong section... soweee:arg: also i havent seen some of those animes like legend of black heaven and what LFF posted.. but now im curious about Full Metal Alchemist since Aeroblue and Yarbone seem to have opposite opinions... ill probably put it down on "my to watch list" so far ive started watching Kenichi is about a teenage boy who's nicknamed weak legs and that his dream is to become stronger and defend the oppressed.. its got me hooked so far, but it looks like its 50+ episodes, which is good.. (plenty of time for character development.

I mean i totally loved the anime, but I thought the ending was quite disappointing :/ Btw.. I just found out that there's a movie about full metal alchemist, wich is basically a sequeal to the series, wich should make a "better ending" So i'm gonna watch that one

I've got a really particular taste for anime and I don't watch too much of it. I'd have to say Berserk. Not because it's a particularly bad ending but because it ends at a rather... Horrible climate with little hope for another season. I know the manga features the rest of the plotline, but I haven't gotten around to borrowing it.

I agree with Graygoose, Code Geass ending along with the whole series (both seasons) were my favorites. As for worst, i'd say bakugan, the series itself was probably the worst i've ever seen, with an even worse ending. And for those who say Fullmetal Alchemist has the best/worst ending, i wouldn't agree with either of you, for guess what? There's a second season coming in this year! So yeah, that's not the end

The 2nd episode of Pokemon was amazing! But I don't watch anime besides Pokemon. Same with that one episode of Pokemon where at first Pikachu gets pwn'd by Raichu but then pwns Raichu.
