Create Trophy Help

Archive: 9 posts

Ok, first off, I'm a trophy addict, i need every one because it gives me a sense of accomplishment. Anyways, the only lbp trophies i have left are the plays on your levels and hearts ones. I try so hard to create a decent level but anything I create gets screwed up in the end. I tried making some costumes and in my opinion i like them alot, so i publish a beta level of my best ones and it gets 4 plays. My worst level (my first) has the most plays, 34 . Does anyone want to give me some pointers or play my levels and heart maybe? I feel like a bad creator because everyone on this forum has like 10000 hearts on their level! If everyone can get like 10k hearts how come i cant even get 50

*cries self to sleep*

I don't have the trophy either, so I can't help you, but I can help you if you are having problems creating:
DON'T GIVE UP! Or I'll slap you with a ten pound chocolate bar! If you feel like you aren't a very good creator, just give it some time! I found that playing 'tutorial' levels made by other players (check out Elbee23's levels) really helped, because they showed some of the more advanced things, like ANDs and ORs, as well as permanent swiches, whereas the Mm tutorials show the more basic things. Also, youtube, REALLY helpfull.
When I wasn't on PS3, i was on youtube, searching 'LBP Logic Gate' or 'LBP Creator tips'.
When you get the hang of it, you will amaze yourself at what you can make in little big planet, you will be making things you thought previously impossible. Just DONT GIVE UP!

I think the solution is your costume creation. Take the time to construct a simple level but with a good story to travel across your costume gallery, or to make something visually beautiful with your costumes. Then, create a thread in the showcase section to promote it in the community. You will have comments and advice to improve it. And with time, you will earn the create trophy. In this case, you will be proud about this.

Or just made H4H, one of the LBP killer, that never will never give you a true satisfactory feeling

I am not sure what to tell you... For my first two levels, I have been spotlighted both times... But I don't have more than 150 plays on either of them... And not more than 20 hearts on either.

You are right, there are a few people on here with tons and tons of plays and hearts...

Heck, I don't even know how to give someone my costumes. I have made some cool ones too.

You will get the trophies when you earn them. Don't rush, enjoy the process. It takes me about a month to make a level.

Rocksauron doesn't mean it should go in another category. A lot of people here have very strong opinions about the whole H4H phenomenon and a lot of posts about the create trophy are either straight up H4H requests at the worst and just frustrated people trying to convince anyone who will read their post to heart them because, well because they feel sorry they can't get the 30 hearts by building levels.

I'm not going to slam your post but I can't just give you a pity heart either. What I will do is let you know it took me 3 months of re-posting my levels over and over (another practice some folks frown upon - just so you are aware that people feel this way) to get enough exposure for the levels I made so people could see I was dedicated to making the best levels I could and was trying to improve my skills as a creator. It's fun too - I think some people forget this is supposed to stay fun - not become a chore. It takes time - unless you're incredibly gifted - like a lot of creators out there are - to earn your trophy.

Here's my advice - you can ignore it if you choose - make the best levels you can for now and keep learning how to improve on your skills. This site is a wealth of information on how to fix little problems or get your creative juices flowing. As your levels improve and players (at least the serious ones - I think) begin to see you have a commitment to making good levels I think the creator hearts will come. If it really means enough to you to get the trophy.... you should be willing to put a little time and effort into earning the trophy. If earning it really isn't something you feel you can do - there are boards on the main lbp site for people just looking to get the numbers they need. I really hope you try to earn it though. I know for me it really felt nice to earn it by trying not asking.

Good Luck

I agree with Morgana25, but would like to add a little to it.

If each time you sit down and create you think of ways to improve your levels, make some modifications, and republish it will keep going into Cool Levels for a short period of time so they will get a few plays each time. If the levels are good, you will periodically get a creator heart.
