Need help with Movers

Archive: 4 posts

I need help. I'm trying to make a Kayaking level and I can't figure out how to work this dang thing. I'm using a wobble bolt to do the rowing action but I need the kayak to move forward on each row. How do I set this up? See crude picture below. I have a wobble bolt on the "rider". This is set up on the controlinator so that when you move the LS left or right, he steers left or right. What I need is for when you move left/right, for the kayak itself to 1. rotate 45 degrees and 2. move forward. Right now the kayak doesn't rotate and it falls to the ground. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi bio,

I'm not sure whether I got the problem right, you want to move the different kayaks on each row individually? Top down or not?

You could use transparent sticker panel along every single row and use an impact sensor with the setting to also touching, so if the kayak touches one of the rows/ sticker panel it could be controlled by the settings combined with the row. F.e. different speed in different rows controlled by different tags on the different rows. Savvy?

Is it only turning while in forward motion or can you rotate along your central axis?2018-12-20 06:06:00

I would almost use a rotater instead for this situation where the turn activates a timer connected to the rotater speed (so it fades down on the turn). This way you could do the same for the other direction, just multiply by -100% with an and gate.

I only use wobble bolts for pieces that need to rotate AND interact with weight. Mainly because they're finicky and work best on more stationary objects.

If this is to avoid follower lag, stick a bolt in the center with the rotator (i think that would work) and put a gyroscope on the rest of the object

EDIT: Just realized you're asking about the mover. The simple mover should have a local space option. Point it the direction you want it to move and hook it up to your logic.
