Going to continue this discussion here since we got off-topic in another thread. In my opinion, LBP3 should last maybe a few more years after Dreams comes out. Once Dreams is out, I can imagine that most LBP3 fans will migrate to that game, and LBP3 will only be left with 1-3 years before becoming totally dead. Well, not totally dead. But just not as active as before. What are your thoughts?

Once again, I think it's ironic that threads and posts about LBP being dead/questions about it are so frequent and keep the community alive... Anyway, I think LBP3 is fine for the moment and will last a bit. I'll give LBP3 another 2 years, until it turns into the next LBP Vita, where only a handful of creators try to build something original and creative instead of copying levels and not giving proper feedback. But until that point, LBP3 will be totally fine. Dreams' full release is still months away.

LBP Vita is in a bad state since late 2016 and it already began in late 2014, that people called it dead and left it, just to complain a year or two later, that it died and how sad it is. The point is, people like that ruin the experience with their pessimism. I say 'Enjoy the game and make it a cool experience while it lasts.'

It still makes me sad that LBPV died so early. There are a lot of reasons why (multiplayer never really functioned well, ...actually that's all I can think of in game), but the main reason, I think, is that the Vita itself died. LBPV definitely lasted longer than the lifespan of the console (still angry at sony for their HORRENDOUS marketing of the system). If anything, that just means LBP will at least be good without another entry until a new console or possibly Dreams (but I don't think that will have as big of an effect. Plus Dreams is essentially a mega upgrade of LBP (weaker story, platformer, heavy creation aspect. Same game, different look, more features.))
