How to get the emitter to emit a powerup

The powerup is a reward for solving a puzzle but when I try to select my own object in the emitter settings it won't let me select the jump boots. I am trying to make the boots appear at a certain spot.2018-02-17 01:55:00

Can you be more specific about the problem you're having? I've captured the boost boots both as a powerup pedestal and a sackpocket pedestal and can emit both without issue.2018-02-17 10:12:00

Can you even emit a powerup? well, you want to reward the player with the Powerup so he can continue to play the level and use the Boost boots, right? Why not use a basic Powerup pedestal or Sackpocket pedestal? Or is it more complicated than this?2018-02-17 22:23:00

The idea is to have the player receive a powerup as a reward for completing a puzzle which gives them a powerup needed to complete the next puzzle. Example: Player completes puzzle 1 which will give the boost boots at location x to get to and complete puzzle 2. I hope I have explained this well enough.

I tried using an emitter like I did in lbp1 & 2 but now it seems to have changed as an emitter no longer allows a powerup in the Emit Custom Object area. How can I accomplish this idea, thank you in advance.

[edit] I forgot to mention at the start of the game there are no powerups available. After completion of said puzzle I want the powerup to "appear" in front of the player like magic.

Have you captured the Boost Boots into the "My Objects" section of your goodies bag? And when you go into the emitters choose object setting are you trying to select the Boost Boots from the "My Objects" section of your goodies bag? That is what I did and it works for me.

If that isn't working maybe you could have the Boost Boots rise up from the floor in some manner like when you first get the pumpinator in the story mode, or use a sackpocket tweaker and have it add or add and equip the Boost Boots if you're using the sackpocket in your level.
