Lbp1 - rip?

Archive: 10 posts

Just hopped back onto LBP1. Been over a year! I checked out my 'noughts and crosses' venture... Aye aye aye. It's impossible to understand my literal hundreds of wire connections anymore! I feel a twinge of guilt. New ideas flooded in as soon as I tried to dissect, which is why I was moved to work in this medium at all... but golly gee. Programming ultra complicated sackbots in #2 really gets the mindset away from the caveman abilities here - but I KNOW I can still make something of this silly tic-tac-toe exploit.

Just checking if there is any life in the community. Ps3 is dead, never mind the fact that this GAME is dead. Yet, I am still here. Breath life into me, community! I see that there are about 400 or less players STILL on at any given time. WAY more than I assumed! (Hooray, South America!!!)They threatened to shut down the karting server over 3 years ago - and I just played LAST NIGHT with new online friends. Shout out your love, let me hear the extinct PS3 users roar in defiance of progress!

If anyone on this site still has a PS3 and plays LBP1 - add me. I don't know if I will ever finish my projects, but I am SURE that I have the largest compilation of pointless LBP information in my brain. If even 1 of the 450 or so who still play see this - 'twill not be in vain.

my ps3 is literally dead unfortunately. Well, it works fine, but it can't connect to wifi and I have no Ethernet ports anywhere in the places I've been living lately. I thought resetting it would help, but it only made it worse. That and I never pull LBP1 back up. Sometimes LBP2.2017-08-02 00:31:00

Sure, I'll play. I'm not that good at creating, nor am I good at being online often, but hey!

....

I have nothing else to add over than that. Either way, I'll try to send you a friend request.

LBP1 is like so many of my Nintendo N64 games, that I loved! And sometimes I say to myself...some day I will play "Zelda Ocarina of Time" or "Perfect Dark" or "Shadow Man" or "Super Mario 64" or many of the others that I've collected, once again!
...some day!

I don't like being the negative one here, but I find LBP 1 is the worst LBP. xD. I hated the story line and the creation engine. Though I PRAISE it because it began it all, you know! =DDDDDDD

I would play with you as well, but I simply do not play LBP 1, I adore LBP 2 the most, and then 3.

Something tells me you never played LBP PSP then. I found it to be a crappy version of LBP1 (granted for that time, that was amazing for portable systems. I just played it later than that time). I do remember liking the difficulty of LBP1 though. The next games got too easy for story mode.2017-08-03 03:32:00

Oh no, I've played all the LBP's, I just enjoy console gaming more than portable. But, in the end I still find LBP1 very annoying X3.

It might be the order in which I played the LBP series.

The very first LBP game I played was LBP2. Then I played LBP3. It wasn't until about a month or two after 3 that I bought the first littlebigplanet.

Honestly, I found LittleBigPlanet 2's story mode much harder to ace!

Those linked levels just give me nightmares thinking about it...

Personally, I was disappointed when it came to acing LittleBigPlanet 3, but the prizes for doing so were nice...

I don't consider acing difficulty though. I think linked levels were just poor pacing for those achievements. I never struggled to get past a point in LBP2, I struggled to get past 30 obstacles in a row without making a single mistake, sure.

I think LBP was a cool game because it was different at that time. LBP is a unique franchise. LBP1's community is small. I don't know it to 100% though.2017-08-12 18:13:00
