Connect Four LBP AI

Hello! This is my first LBP3 level, the most thermally heated one I've ever published, and also the only creation of mine that thinks on its own. Also, a new post after a long, long, long period of inactivity from me; but then again, I only recently got back to the Sackverse from a long hiatus.

This level presents a complex, yet simple (you'll see ) artificial intelligence that will gladly play any number of matches of Connect Four against your Sackperson. The level is set in a place what I would call my laboratory, if one could have a persistent one in the Sackverse.


I've harboured the idea of such a level for a very long time, but only recently I had the opportunity to actually create such a level.

I hope you enjoy it. To encourage you to explore, I must advise you that there are secrets hidden in the level that will expose you a part of the logic hidden inside. Let it also be said that the dissonance of FPS in play mode and create mode is amazing; if anyone desires to recreate this, they will need to address how they plan to ensure their create mode stays as fast as they are as a creator.

The trailer clip makes it look very interesting! Definitely giving this a go soon =) Don't quite understand what you are saying in the last bit of your post (FPS etc), but i guess the idea is to be nosy and look around beyond just playing the connect four game.

I have to say I always really appreciate creators who go that extra mile to set the scene and flesh out the aesthetics even when its just something as basic as connect four being the main focus of the level. (not saying the logic is simple, by all means probably no where near simple, I meant the level idea)

Thanks, I'm trying to get people's attention so they know it even exists among the vast level collections of Sackverse

Heh, guess I got a bit carried away with the wording . What I was trying to say, is that the level has prizes of intriguing nature (some logic chips of the game; they are likely to be of high interest to other creators), and therefore exploring is worth it. Also, the level itself is very very laggy when in create mode, but works seemingly very well when playing it. However, this only applies to a PS4; I tried this level on a PS3, and it was quite laggy even in the play mode. Create mode I did not dare try, lest it would crash .

And thanks, I tried to make the level look pretty as themed levels are always more fun to play This is actually one of the very first levels I feel I really paid attention to in terms of environmental design and style, apart from some unpublished projects of mine which I've taken some inspiration from (e.g gritty lab environment, lots of mechanical elements). It would have even more intriguing stuff, if only create mode wasn't so laggy . Still, glad you liked it!
