Can you clear cache in PS4 to join other players?

Archive: 2 posts

My son and I play on separate consoles on the same wireless router on both xbox and playstation. There are some specific games like Friday the 13th, that on our Xbox we will have trouble joining each other, so we will go into our xbox settings, clear out our cache, shut down, restart, and then we will be able to join each each other again, after clearing the cache. In playstation, I can't seem to find a way to clear a cache. We both have playstation 4's and our Little Big Planet 3's won't allow us to join. I had read that if you both shut down and then try to join again, it should work, but that was for Playstation 3's. We tried that once but it didn't work. I also read that if you both take off costumes and go to your pods so your temps were low, this should work. This didn't change anything either. I don't know if this could have anything to do with us being on the same wireless router or not. We are in the same room right next to each other but I'm sure this has nothing to do with it since all other games on PC and consoles work all the time. We also play GMod on Steam on the same router on the PC and encountered many problems due to firewall issues, but I don't think this would be the same issue, but my husband says it may be. It wasn't with the Xbox, so again, I doubt this is the issue here.
Any advice how we can join each other in Little Big Planet? We can join each other on other games GTA, LegoWorld and Ark, on the Playstation, so I know it is definitely LBP specific.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions, I know this has been an ongoing frustrating issue for many players and if there was a way to clear the cache, I think this would help. So, is there an actual way to go in and clear out history and cache from a Playstation?
