I just tested video capturing with a tool a bought a while ago. I didn't test it with my PS3 until now but it seems to work very well. So i would like to share the technology. Make a request in this thread and i will - sooner or later- capture it and upload it to youtube. You can then embed it in your posts. But a few terms must be fulfilled. I do this for active members. So i won't film levels for people who just want to advertise their levels here. Also i won't film unfinished levels. Are you using AV to view your PS3? if so how good is the quality because I can only play with HDMI (AV looks horrible), is it possible to have it plugged in HDMI but record the AV output?

I directly capture the Chinch output(yellow, white, red) but have the PS3 plugged into the TV via HDMI. But i can only select one output though. So the device sends the captured data directly to the TV.

Wow thats amazing! Thank you so much!!! It also pointed out some of the things I needed to fix, watching someone other than me playing it points out its errors. For example when you jumped off the cloud next to the Rock God you are supposed to land on the building, then the god speaks to you, that way the story makes sense. Needs fixing Love how you edited it! Soz, just one point, could you edit the title and decription so it says "Metal" Instead of "Mullen" lolz Btw this site has its own level filming thread but its been abandoned and all the requests have been left If your'e looking for something to do you could take over

Consider us even Gilgamesh YouTube - The Incredible Time Box I should say that it costed me many MANY tries to get it finally right and i build in some tricks i figured out in my struggle Ah and and you can see how close the part with the bombs was. That was one reasen that often endet the game for me. The glass bits you build in last second was really helpfull. Made the whole thing much easier. Cheer.

So before you buy an HDMI capture device, make sure it decrypts and records HDCP-encrypted video or if it doesn't make sure that is what you want. :/

Ah, unfortunately you very likely won't be able to record from the PS3's HDMI output without jumping through some hoops. The HD video bitstream from the PS3 is encrypted with HDCP and decrypting devices with recording functionality are illegal to sell or use in most parts of the world. So before you buy an HDMI capture device, make sure it decrypts and records HDCP-encrypted video or if it doesn't make sure that is what you want. :/ Thx for the advice. I already chanceled the idea anyway. Hm, but i wonder if HDCP is only for the Blueray content. Wouldn't make much sense to protect regular gaming scenes in my opinion EDIT: Okay i googled around and it seems that the PS3 in generall uses HDCP. What kind of controll-o-holic made that up?

It was really frustrating to die at the next tiny bit after we replayed the level 5 times a la trial and error. @superezekiel, the part Vanamiera as talking about, was the part where you parked the bus onto a electrified cart. You then had to go on top of the bus, and hold these switches so that the explosives explode on time, and don't destroy your bus. The last one however, killed you since the button was too close to the explosives.. that's why we couldn't get further, since you had to go on top, and swing from the spongey balls... So please improve that.

Have also had the blue circle roll back down under the room - the jet pack does not go there and it's too heavy to pull back up the stone ramp, so had to start over. Ye I like #5 too, some people don't like it cause its in the relative minor, and sounds different to all the others. The Tv at the end is actually a microwave but some people do have their tv's in the kitchen... which I find strange :S

It must be the powebox so I'll change the speech to say *shoot it once*. I just had practice befor i filmed your level. Here are some things you could improve: - at the start there is a speech bubble that activates when you enter a dangerous zone. while you read this you can't move and the soldier could shoot you meanwhile - the limited amount of ammo. that's a thing of taste. but in this chase it was just annoying - in the huge room with the three soldiers there were several spots with gas. i fell into them several times and died without even knowing what happened. just replace them with something different - the soldier with the rockte luncher. at first i didn't even notice that he shootes the rocket and causes me to die. - the power box. i don't know what mechanics you use for it but they don't work that's for sure also the shooting seems kind of random. sometimes it kills you and sometimes not. also delete those prize bubble they just stand in the way

Aww shoot I thought I was in the clear The powerbox definitely works: You step into the area triggering a player sensor rigged to an XOR gate; you shoot the box triggering a timer logic also rigged to the XOR. Since two things are activated it won't work until the timer flicks off. Problems occur when people aren't in the area but have shot the box so the timer keeps the XOR activated which is what you showed. Still it's still a work in progress and at least i know what has to be done now, thanks
