Hey there. After years of inactivity I figured it wouldn't hurt to come back to play a little bit this summer, and I came here looking for other creators to share ideas and tips with. Also for some friends maybe; all my old lbp pals have long ago quit playing, and it honeslty feels kinda lonely, so don't hesitate to send a friend request. I've been playing since the MGS dlc was released, and after all this time I haven't finished a project or level worth going "Wow, that was good", either because my ideas were interesting but lacked depth, or because of lbp's engine limitation. However, I do have some LBP3 projects worth working for, and for those I need help. For the first one, I've built the core of a traditional 2D fighting game (Think Street Fighter, Guilty Gear), unluckily I don't know what game to do. I'm willing to give the engine to some other creator who is willing to cooperate, so if you're interested, add me on PSN and I'll show you what I got. I've thought of doing a little tech demo, but importing sprites or actually doing them is way too time consuming, and I lack the creativity/talent to make original designs. For the second one, which is barey started, I'd really benefit from knowing how the dynamic thermometer works, and how it affects loading times and lag. I haven't found any relevant info or threads discussing the matter, and I don't spare too much time to test it myself, so if you know something, or know where this can be discussed, please hook me up. As far as my levels go, as I said, I don't have anything too impressive. I have a fun little PvP rocket shootout, but that's about it. These next few days I will be releasing a tutorial on how to create circulars motions in 3D, inspired by this crazy level called Desert Disaster (http://lbp.me/v/q1-8d19/trailer?p=1&l=12) by Z1091990. Welcome back Iluminacos! Glad to see that you're coming back to LBP over the summer! I'm sure you'll be making some awesome levels in no time! I may not be the best explainer, but I know that the Dynamic Thermometer helps out your levels a lot! It loads things depending on how big the "loading range" you choose. It helps keep the lag down immensely, but it makes the level size quite big from what I've noticed. There are certain times to use the thermometer and other times that it shouldn't always be used. It does require a lot of playing around to fully grasp it; not to mention there are new tools specifically designed to coincide with it. Such as the permanacy-tweaker. Anyways!
