Hey guys, I'm a student at NTNU University in Norway, and I'm writing a master thesis about usability in video game level editors. The goal is to compare several different level editors, and do a usability testing of each editor. But first, I need some information about the gamers (you). So if you could help me out so I could gather some data I would be very grateful! Using tools in lbp are easy but its also hard learning it as you first start off. Not everything is explained in the game in terms of logic. Really takes the community to the take the logic and break it where you could do math with it for example or # save data. The level editor is great but there needs to be more options and even more advanced logic. Nothing really is better then lbp in terms of a creation kit that is also a video game. Mario maker is no where near what lbp is, nor is RPG maker or Project Spark. LBP karting is a good example of bad level editor. PS4 Dreams is going to be a good creation game but 2 of the issues that it currently has its its limitations of how much 3D models there is on screen and two its User interface that requires a playstation move to really use.

I participated. LBP3 has cool tools and it's easy compared to Unity or Unreal engine. It has some limitations though.
