It's all just... gone.

So, I've been working on a level in my moon (LBP3) I decide today, "I'm going to really work on that. Pedal to the metal today!!" I sit down and spend about 3 hours working in said level. I'm very pleased with the exhausting progress I've made, time to pretty-up the whole thing. Start corner editing, a little here, a little there. Suddenly the material I am holding vanishes. Zoom out to find entire level has vanished, while my cursor is still clutching an outline of something no longer visible. OMG. Deep breath... Stephen Fry taught me how to get out of this back in #1. Left on Dpad, it's gonna be ok. Rewind. Rewind. Rewind. Rewind..rewind..reWIND.REWIND.REWIND.REWIND!!!!!!! !!!! Nada. Level is completely blank, entrance gate is even gone. I accept the reality that they only way to save any of my work is to exit and 'discard changes'. So long last 3 hours. I shed a tear and hit the button. I think for a bit about everything I did, gotta try to redo it from the starting point. From my pod I re-enter my moon. Enter level. I stare into the abyss. A completely empty level with a full thermometer. Obviously glitching out, unable to place or do anything.

I lost everything. Not just the work from that one sitting. Everything. Yes I have my saved objects, but that doesn't replace the meticulous positioning and programming, all the interconnecting pieces are lost. Of course I will begin again, it is just a game after all - but... AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGAHHHHSHH**SAFU*****mEH!!! Pain. Right in the feelings.

Is it ever going to get better? Is there anyone out there actually working on these problems? Is it my fault for not having a ps4? Why did they release it on another system if they couldn't make it work? The first year I owned the game I couldn't use any online features at all, just recently began working without system crashing lag - that made me optimistic. Should I just focus on #2 from now on? Is it all going to be over soon anyway? Japan!? noooooooooo...

Its a pity to hear and also rather frustrating! I'm feeling with you, though I had the luck that I didn't have any bugs or glitches so far! A friend of mine had a similar issue and he decided to sleep a night over it before trying anything! And on next day all has been right again, no loss of his work!
LBP3 is a good game, but there are still too many strange things happening!
Don't get discouraged! And you're right, sometimes an ...AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGAHHHHSHH**SAFU*****mEH!!! isn't the worst medicine!

Many greetings, Jürgen^^

LBP3 is cool, but buggy as hell. That happens when the publishers hate the developers and want them to finish their game in half of the time. I guess Sony wanted MM to make LBP3. They first agreed, but then they wanted to make Dreams for PS4. So Sony had to contact Sumo for that. And probably Sony couldn't move the release 2-3 years. Means, that the game's programming is bad and rushed out.

You're not the only one, it happened to many others, which means that those problems are so known.

And also, I didn't see to much notes about fixing problems in the change logs. Sumo is kinda done.

I give you a tip: Be paranoid, save your level frequently, save your profile frequently and so on. It is really good to do so. Keep all the save files on a USB device. I personally had to feel the pain three times in LBP Vita and once in LBP3 on PS3.

I also think that the PS3 version is less buggy than the PS4 version.

Yeah. I have also heard that the PS4 version has actually been more buggy. A little glad I have yet to go to the PS4 version. Although... I imagine you can fit more into a level...............
Hmmm......

But! Look at the silver lining here. You can improve upon anything you did. If you're a fan of any kind of rogue-like game *COUGH*Dark Souls*COUGH*, then maybe you can see it as just practice. After all. I doubt this will be the ONLY level you will ever make that uses similar tactics/choices/logic/etc.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha, you could be right, but at the end only the performance and quality was improved. The limit is the same. Too many objecte and shapes and boom! The thermometer, the unwanted friend cries for attention.

I had to delete my profile some hours ago. Saving got corrupted. I had a save file on my USB device from yesterday.

The only safe way of playing LBP3 is saving your profile and saving your levels every day/week. I personally had two profile corruptions since november 2016.2017-03-15 10:57:00

I feel like I'm the only one without a profile corruption to date. I have had my story progress reset, but that's about it.2017-03-15 17:02:00

No, you're not the only one! Til now I had no problems with lbp3 and toi, toi, toi! (this means the same as three times knocking on wood!) I hope that this will go on so forever! 2017-03-15 19:24:00

You're right, I can imagine the ps3 version being slightly less buggy, but **** does it have lag!

Also, wasn't Media Molecule working LittleBigPlanet hud, or was that cancelled before they flopped to sumo digital?

Personally, I think Sumo Digital is a snake! Just you watch, they're going to rush out another game they've recently taken development over, Dead island 2. The worst part about this, is that I doubt LittleBigPlanet will ever get another game now.

Wait, what do you mean this wasn't relevant at all? I tried, okay?
