Introduction Page of Unfortunate Events

Archive: 13 posts

This is the second version of this discussion. I tried to edit it earlier, and it deleted half the discussion, so now I have to re-edit it. Great.

Does anyone still read the Introduction pages? Not that it matters I guess...

My names Smithy. My PSN is SmithyBlacksmith (https://lbp.me/u/SmithyBlacksmith/levels?p=1&l=12), & I'm a 20-something LBPer. I only Play LBP2 despite owning LBP3.

I have played this series since it was originally released back in 2008. A dying breed of creators that cant let go of their favourite game.

It's somewhat disappointing to see your favourite games die off, So I'm here to stay to the very end of LBP2, which may be soon seeing how the japan servers were cut off.

I am semi-decent at creating levels & outfits, and I'm starting to dabble into creating stickers. Although not owning all of the DLC is proving to be a major hindrance on my creative process, as I'm not given all the tools to be at my 'full potential'. although I'm making do with about half of the DLC available.

The levels I'm most proud of making would have to be the Rick & Morty Giveaway (https://lbp.me/v/qzc8gdr/topreviews?p=1&l=12) & The Overwatch Giveaway (https://lbp.me/v/qzy6p0z/topreviews?p=1&l=12) mainly due to how not one single creator made a level about either of the two before me, and they have inspired others to create levels similar to them.

That's all there is to know about me. if you want to add me, go ahead

One last thing I want to talk about, and that's my views on certain problems the LBP2 community currently has:

If you do any of the following, for the love of Avalon, seek help:

Crossing your sack-persons arms in order to look cool. (You're playing an E-rated game, you are not 'Gangsta&apos
You are in a Sack-Couple with someone you don't know in real life. Your basing this 'relationship' purely either on how a person acts (over the internet no less) and how they look like in game (which in of itself is mental due to it being a creation game where you can look like anything you want) These Sack-Couples are essentially Jr. versions of IMVU couples.
You use Marvel DLC in your outfit giveaway's. You do realise the DLC cant be purchased any more, and has not been available for close to 2 years now, and yet you continue to use the Spider man skin over the Escape plan skin, essentially locking your outfits behind a paywall that cant be purchased, leaving your outfits only to be enjoyed by other veteran creators who also own that DLC.
Diving in then immediately leaving. Just...why?
Using a early 2011 player created outfit. Get rid of the tooth decoration hair & neon colored Ushanka hats.
Copy & pasted levels created by Ayee its dead or The_Dead_Creator. Its cancerous. Stop.

Hi Smithy,

welcome to lbpc, nice to meet you! There are still people playing LBP2 though you find them rarer than two years ago! I'm playing more often LBP3 and I definitely prefer the LBP3 editor cause there are lots of things more easier to do than in LBP2. May I ask you why you don't play LBP3?
Nevertheless I wish you a lot of fun here and if you accept a friend request of a LBP3 player then I will send you one!

Many greetings, Jürgen^^

LBP3 in general peeved me in ways I didn't think possible.

God its hard to not type swears on the internet...

There are many reasons why I refuse to play it, but it no longer being made by Media Molecule and instead Sumo Interactive, is one of the major ones, especially how Sumo originally treated it.

Yo! I understand about not going on LBP3 (depends on your create style imo. If you don't use more than 3 layers, and don't need hook hat or note functionality (that's the deal breaker for LBP2 with me), LBP2 is just less frustrating. The only other thing worth mentioning for me is animation tools for sackbot, but they're painful to use). I kind of wish whatsthatcompanyname did LBP3 (the one that did LBP vita). They did everything so cleanly and pretty much every tool got slight upgrades, like emitters having the cleanup when destroyed option getting rid of everything that was emitted from the emitted object for you (though the rewind was a lot slower (only slightly slower than LBP3)).

Oh, and it was Tarsier Studios.

Oh, well you're in luck! Sumo digital made LittleBigPlanet Ps.Vita, as well as Tarsier Studios.

Heya!

And a late welcome from me. According to your introduction, I wouldn't be surprised if you're a 9gagger.

Anyways enjoy your stay in LBPC. Embrace your dreams and do not let the little kids hold you back while trying to reach your goals!

See ya!

Welcome!

Please take a look what gets published in LBP3. It's far away from beeing dead.

MM made LBP, but at LBP2 Tarsier helped them and so they made the PSV port LBPV, which I am still playing.

After all, enjoy your stay!
