Awesome updates on the PSN today

Anyone play The star wars force unleashed demo or the Ratchet and clank: QFB game.
I played the demo and it made me look forward to the game not nearly as much as LBP but what game can. No lightsaber throwing in the game though. Still throwing people and object in game was fun. The vacuum of space in the level is so cool and i love the idea.

Wow, the Force: Unleashed was nowhere near as fun as I'd thought it'd be. Throwing stuff seemed kind of clunky, not streamlined at all. The Last Guy was pretty cool, though. Don't think it's enough for an entire game, but it was the best demo in the store.2008-08-22 02:19:00

I really was unimpressed with the demo. I didn't like the use of the force, it was far too clunky, the amount of force everything used up was too high. The lightning was pretty cool and I liked the dash move but I don't think I'll pick this up. I just didn't enjoy playing it.

Also IMO the game needs a map. I didn't get lost or anything but for some reason I feel a mini-map in the game would be nice.		2008-08-22 04:01:00

Didn't really enjoy TFU. Too heavy, too clunky. I wish it were more intuitive; I felt like I was struggling with the controls. Definitely not going to rent or buy it.2008-08-22 04:12:00

There was a mini-map in the left corner (up)

But same opinion here, we won't get more than we have seen in the demo. It's a game without any multiplayer, so I won't buy it, I did that mistake with R&C		2008-08-22 14:59:00

I thought it was a great demo, do remember it is a demo and not the actual game but also remember he is just starting off so his powers are not as strong on the demo. You keep gaining in powers through the game so I think it will be good. It could have been better if it was just a PS3 exclusive game because it could have been longer and better looking.2008-08-22 16:43:00

I think it lives up to the hype, the physics engine was great, the new AI system is good. Could the game be better maybe, but still it is a great game. I do think Lucasarts made a mistake releasing it on every console there is but this game is fun and it only will get better with the real game. Let's see what happens when it comes out, but this game is impressive.		2008-08-22 16:52:00

Wow a iphone one also, seriously I would prefer it to be made for a good system, I understand the wii because of the wii remotes but I think it really is going to far putting it out on ever type of system.		2008-08-22 19:20:00

And it was pretty fun, though I wish there was a second demo level, or a boss demo, that would require you to use your lightsaber more.

I love whipping storm troopers around. Feels really good. But I hate the saber combat, which is basically DMC style with staying up in the air, which I don't like. Oh well grr

yeah I agree with lbp on this the saber stuff was not great, hopefully it is better in the real game, I like JKA 2 style but it is what it is.2008-08-23 06:17:00

Downloaded the demo and played it, and thanks to my low expectations I thoroughly enjoyed it!

The only problem with the combat system is that it isn't fluid enough.
You can't interrupt a combo with a block or a dodge, which is essential in this type of game. >_>		2008-08-23 14:52:00

Woooaaah what's with all the negativity with the Star Wars demo? i just played it - it was better than i expected!! However i havn't been hyping ANY games up bar LBP, so i had no expectations for this. Just that it looked alright. But i thoroughly enjoyed that. I did it on normal mode... killed me countless times grrgrr

I'm playing it again now. Looking at the vids.... since there are loads more moves than in the demo (like light-saber throwing) i think it will last pretty long! Though most games do get boring with time.

I don't understand how you can think it was clunky - it did what i said when i said, and all pretty easily. Maybe you need a bit more practice? Or it's just not your sorta thing.

I know it seems like im sticking up for the game alot here (which i am) but from all the negative responses earlier i just can't agree. When you put very high expectations on things - they'll never live up to the hype. (Except LBP hopefully - how can they go wrong now! ). I went into the game not knowing a thing about how good it is and liked it. And i like VERY few demos on PSN.

As to the vid's - i already downloaded the LBP trailer Got both on the hard drive now

Clunky and unresponsive are two different things. The combat wasn't fluid at all. Nothing seemed to flow together. The apprentice did what buttons I pressed, right away, but not exactly the way I would've envisioned them. I will say that screwing around with the force is cool.2008-08-24 00:48:00

Through my few playthroughs i've definatly found that experimenting with button combinations really help the flow. Mixing the force with it and it gets really fun then i find. I still love picking someone up - throwing the lightsaber into them - then when its in them throw them into a ship for a nice explosion (i know you dont need to throw the saber at them - but it looks so much **** cooler ). I may consider getting this game. However it's a big maybe and all depends on money too. LBP comes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of this (and everything!!).		2008-08-24 01:08:00

I played it yesterday and it was cool. It really ends the demo at a dramatice part, leaving you wanting more. I would like to hear from someone who played this game, on charcter creation can you add a lightsaber to your character and change the color? But most likely I would stick with Red but yeah it looks fun but I don't know if I will get right now but maybe later on.		2008-08-29 17:03:00
