Am already well into my first level design in LBP3, haven't created since lbp1. Have developed some awesome logical systems to incorporate in this large, multi-level adventure I'm planning. What I want to do is let the player pick any 5 tools from a large variety of tools/weapons on th HUB level, and have any side level the player picks start the player off with those chosen 5 tools. I'm about to study level linkers, so maybe the answer lies there. But in the meantime, any help would be greatful. I've created a very complex enemy health system that keeps track and tallies different types of damage simutaniously (such as blunt, bladed, piercing, explosive, fire,water, magical, critical, etc, etc- many damage modifiers). My system flawlessly combines the damage using reversed, incremented timers and displays the output on a visible enemy health bar. Damage type symbols appear above the enemies heads and any immunities are shown to the player. Enemies can have an absurd amount of hitpoints if I need them to. So this system lets me create a vast variety of weapons with many or even all damage modifiers. Such as 'Masters Flaming Magical Spiked Whip of Extreme Pain' for a humorous example lol. Combine it with my kick-*** mining system, and the fact each of my lbp1 levels were featured in monthly level spotlights (think it might have been lbpcentral), it gets me excited. I just hope I didn't come to the party too late as the game has been out for a while and Dreams set to replace it. So yeah, this awesome weapon/kill system, but might be useless if sackpocket items can't be memorized between levels. Any knowledge in relation here would be sweet an hugely appropriated. Thx EDITED/Update........ Yes!!!!!! It works. You CAN carry inventory between adventure levels. Sweet LBP3 is amazing now.
