Does anybody know how to give a hologram physical properties? | 2016-09-24 11:23:00 Author: Sir monacle Posts: 4155 |
Have you tried to put a physiacal tweaker on the hologram and put it to "collision on"? Or you could try this: copy the hologram and change the copy to invisible material and then place the hologram exactly over the invisible copy and glue it together. Once I have tried the physical tweaker on sticker panel and as far as I can remember I could walk on the sticker panel afterwards! But could also be that I have a wrong memory. I will try it afterwards! | 2016-09-24 17:40:00 Author: CuriousSack Posts: 3981 |

Omg! I just noticed that this is LBP2, so you can forget my suggestion with the physical tweaker! Sorry, my fault! | 2016-09-26 18:08:00 Author: CuriousSack Posts: 3981 |
I have struggled with this, and wished greatly for a tool to accomplish it. LBP2 does not have one. The only way I have found, is to have a solid object emitted over top of the hologram. It isn't the hologram itself actually becoming solid, but an object filling it's slot. Neon is a great substitution because you can make it match hologram in color and brightness. You can make the piece of neon appear and disappear, while keeping the hologram stationary. Visually it will look like nothing is moving, but while the neon is absent, the hologram will remain 'hollow', when the neon is present it'll be something opaque and interactive. Let me know if this helps! | 2017-02-02 18:07:00 Author: molynsi Posts: 24 |

Thank you! If you turn the holorgram to 100% brightness, you shouldn't be able to see through it anyway. Yes, I meant hollow in a non-corporal way, not visual. You don't actually see the neon appearing and dissapearing. I made something similar; platforms that you can jump through from the bottom, but are solid when you drop onto them from above. Like in Kid Icarus (NES). I never publish anything though :- What are you working on? Friend me, invite me. Maybe I can help! | 2017-02-04 19:51:00 Author: molynsi Posts: 24 |
LBP Vita is like a LBP 2.5, so it doesn't have the features of LBP3. I would put a invisible material (in LBP2 you get it from DLC, right?) behind the hologram/sticker panel. You could also use the rubber material and make it small. Then do whatever you want to do with it. | 2017-02-07 00:48:00 Author: mdkd99 Posts: 1172 |

I apologize upon the inconvenience that I have brought upon you, but I am no longer working on this level! I have moved on from that small crater taking up nothing but space on my moon, and I sincerely hope you understand. mmm'kay? That worked, right? | 2017-02-22 06:12:00 Author: Sir monacle Posts: 4155 |
