LBP3 new user - My experience

Hi, i bought this game 4 days ago for PS3 (Digital Ver.) and since most topics about LBP3 glitches/bugs are very dated, i wanted to post my own experience so people can judge by today's version of the game. I'm aware of the tons of glitches that have been matter of discussion for months and so, for secure reasons, make a profile backup everytime i went to the capsule (One can be too carefull). At the date of this post, the game is on the version 1.21.

Here's the list of glitches i have experienced on my whole gameplay, ordered from first to last:

Deep Freeze - During the first level, shortly before finish it, the game crashes. I believe that an unexpected memory write process was the cause. Shuting down the PS3 solved it and no longer experienced.

Invisible Water - Randomly, while setting the global water on a custom level, it will appear invisible (Not from above). The only way to notice it is going underwater or watching nearby objects floating. Exiting to the capsule and enter to the level again solved this.

Microchip messed up - While making a parallax background movement (By putting microchips on every layer with different speed), the bottom layer didn't follow the logic pretty well. And changing the values produced more oddly results. Copying a "healthy" microchip onto it and fixing the values solved this issue.

Sackbot patrol screwed up - This is an old glitch that wasn't fixed yet. What it does is that the Sackbot will only move 1-2 steps and go idle for several seconds, then it moves another 1-2 steps and so on...

UV Tool not saved - I don't know if this behaviour is intended or not, but what it does is that if you use the UV Tool to rotate or scale the texture of a given material, and if you copy that object, the copied material would not have the UV modifications of the original one.

And also, notice that i haven't meet the deadly profile bug.

I've noticed that over time the PS4 version became more reliable while the PS3 version less so. Also my loading times are a LOT longer than at launch.2016-08-10 23:01:00

Load times is the bane of my existence, and lbp3 brings it hard.
I've seen "deep freeze" happen in all little big planets, memory used, and abused in most cases.

compared to lbp2, I didn't have to WAIT for the game to load, it always loaded within a reasonable amount of time that made sense.
Same thing with undo/redo taking WAYYY longer now.

This would be the one lbp that I can't play with others in since I would be continously pulled around into level after level, but guess what that means? LOADING... LOADING... LOADING... ? Also, Lbp3 creators have so much space to work with, I can expect half of the levels to not even be complete or finishable, so the load wouldn't even be worth it. I bet people would rather avoid load times entirely by sitting in edit mode all day long and derping around, just like everyone does in all the LBP games. It gets absolutely nothing productive done and it's a complete waste of time, but I guess not if enough people do it right? right?

They should of remamed it "Little big moon"

Also, could eeveryone turn off auto reject? I've tried to join every level so far (10+) and I have been refused to let join every time. If you don't want people to play with you, then just sign out of PSN.

I never had problems with LBP3 neither on PS3 nor on PS4! The loading times on PS3 are a little bit longer, but still within an acceptable range. I mainly play it on PS4 but I use the PS3 version when I'm at work (I have my PS3 at work! ) and mainly for experiments with effects or trials for logic solutions.

Lucidess, auto reject is a very useful option to me! Sometimes I come online only to upload some pictures, or when I want to play a level of my queue to give some feedback afterwards, and if the time is spare, then I'm thankful to have an auto reject option, otherwise I probably would have no chance to do the things I had intended to do.
But the auto reject is not always activated and even if its activated then one can send me an invitation and if I have a little time then I normally join or at least write a little messsage.
...only exception when I haven fallen asleep while playing (which is not a rare situation)

I agree that auto reject is extremely useful, but I wish the game handled it better. You shouldn't even look at people in story/community levels to join because it's a waste of time. In other words, the game should count people with this option as basically being offline, but have them show up on the friends menu.2016-08-12 19:37:00

I don't think you thought very far on that. People like me play online levels alone. And can't or are not interested in having others join us. However the real fix for your problem is that the game shouldn't even count players with auto reject on as people to join to start with.

I need to update mine to the latest version since mine is still on 1.21 also.

But from what I've experienced between the two since I have both (day 1 physical PS3 Version, and PS4 Digital version). The PS3 one is atrocious for me. I cannot make anything. My "Deep Freeze" occurs when I try to return to the pod from creating, This also happens to me in the PS4 version. I've gone through many things and I believe its from the fact that the game is actually trying to connect to 2 servers instead of 1. MM server for LBP1&2, and Sumo Server for LBP3,vita, possibly karting. Also these servers just need to be reset. Its been almost 2 years and the servers arent getting faster and more cluttered every day.

Also Logic... Making logic in LBP3 on PS3 is near impossible for me. Every time I just hover over the microchip on the ps3 version my game has to load, either with a loading screen, or with about 10 seconds of lag, or both. Its horrible and makes me want to cry at times when I want to make stuff.

Luckily a majority of my projects are in LBP2 and if you'd ever want to play I'm all for it.
