Race solo, or with 3 others in this fast paced top down race to the finish using a speedy Pinball! Earning enough points will let you unlock up to 8 other balls that unlocks race track features, and more points!

The race features:
- 1 long track that takes about 1-2 minutes to complete.
- 8 other different balls to unlock depending on your score (uses memorizer)
- Each ball is better than the last, except a few which may have more potential than others early on.
- Flags along the track increase your points and multiplier.
- Players share memorizer data for balanced gameplay (not intended)
- Track has many corners and splits which rarely repeat themselves, and takes up the entire level space.

Flags:
- Blue flag gives 100 points.
- Green flag gives 100 points, 1 second combo time, x1 combo multiplier.
- Yellow flag gives 3000 points, 3 seconds combo time.
- Red flag takes 500 points away, does nothing else.
Planned Flags that do more than just point giving:
- Black flag: gives 500 points, slows the ball down for 5 seconds.
- White flag: takes 1000 points away, speeds ball up for 5 seconds.
- Purple flag: warps you to another purple flag. Flag cannot be destroyed.
- Skull flag: Player is ejected from ball and ball is destroyed. Flag cannot be destroyed.


Some green flags are bad to get because of how they are positioned, some blue flags are good to get earlier than others, and some parts will force you to think a little bit until you remember the race track. There are no shortcuts to ensure everyone is competing for getting ahead and getting the flag multipliers.

Balls:
- Speed: You start with this ball.
- Boost: X to get a boost of speed.
- Logic: Unlocks Orange Zones and Bumpers by running into them.
- Drive: Is fast! R1 to slow down.
- Hybrid: X to do a slow boost. Touch walls to speed up!
- Arcade: Unlocks Arcade Zones (which are a work in progress). (renaming to pinball pinball later)
- Uber: Is very, very fast! Sticky! Cool shades yo.
- Super: Is very fast! Sanic booooost!
- Ghost: Clips through walls. Cannot cheat.
Planned balls:
- Pinball: Is a real life pinball. Is teleported to Pinball machine upon race start. Play pinball for 2 minutes. If other players are racing they get to watch after they finish.
- Arcade: Can shoot things. Is teleported to Arcade Zone upon race start. Enemies and obstacles spawn in an Arcade zone for 2 minutes. If other players are racing they get to watch after they finish.

Planned Features:
Teamwork effects such as pinball + logic ball to enhance the experience inside the pinball machine, and on the track at the same time!

Any balls together while holding a button should cause a magnetic effect, maybe for at least one of the balls. This feature is mainly for players who wish to not separate during a race because of local play.

The whole level itself is 80% finished, I know that's a bad thing to do in most levels but it's only for the pinball machines which have nothing to do with the race, so it's sort of going to be an expansion pack. I feel like it's missing something else though..

I don't know how to make videos other than recording my tv with my phone, and that would look bad.

As for the F4F part i'm willing to go as far as to add you.. I will be getting lbp3 later, but I'd like to personally see the level and give feedback in the comments, but also on a personal level. I really love making levels but always inspired by great ideas and fun times, but don't feel shy to post any level you like, i'll try my best to see the good in it. I can be a critic if you want, but I find it is best to just focus on being positive and ignore what might be considered bad. The only thing i'd be let down about, is the level of effort. Any amount of effort should show, and if it does to a certain point then I would try to point it out and thank them for it. Remember watching the Lego Movie? That part when Vitruvius was telling Emmet that the world depends on ideas, and depends on YOU... yeah. Anyway.. I don't get feedback for my levels other than one liners like "awesome!", and thats not really feedback to me. It makes me feel happy but it isn't like.. critical feedback, you know? Something to make the level better, and make me feel better.

So i'm convinced no one wants to F4F? Thats kinda sad, and I think people should talk about this issue more. I pour my **** soul into my levels and people don't even get the idea to just F4F for once. I don't care of the majority of the lbp community left, i'm still seeing players hit and running this forum for showcasing levels, stop it. I don't care if it's a choice, lots of people are being bad by doing nothing about it, not talking about it.

It would of been easier to not have the option for F4F, but then I may not of even posted my level here, because I expected results within atleast 1 month, and 5 new levels posted in the showcase.


What, want me to F4F my own level or something? I believe in this idea ******.

Personally, I have been far too busy to really do more than play levels and work on my own. In fact, I have been playing most of the levels that have been posted on here as of late. The smaller community is great to a degree because now, there aren't nearly as many levels as there were before on this site. Bad because, well... Less levels, thus less variety, but more of a chance for levels to actually have time to be noticed in the levels section. Maybe a little too much time to be noticed... As in there aren't many levels popping up in the levels section.

BUT! I know why you're aggravated about it. It sucks when your levels don't get enough or any feedback. Before, the community was getting too many levels to where every level couldn't be looked at, and now, the community is too small to have enough people to actually look at and give decent feedback. A little ironic.

Anywho. What kind of feedback in particular were you looking for?

Incidentally this has been on my queue for a while, and I have just not gotten round to playing this yet. I should get round to playing it this week =)
I understand you are frustrated no one has provided feedback yet.
In terms of F4F, many other creators are hard at work on their own levels and thus have not been trying out other levels. I'm sure when some of them finish some of their creations it will allow time for them to actually test out yours and provide feedback. As I am aware others aren't deliberately not giving feedback etc, its just they are busy with their own projects. Within the circle of creators I am in more regular contact with, they all seem to be very busy on multiple projects at the moment. Its like they all happen to have struck inspiration at the same time.

Ok so I have given this level a couple of plays. Been struggling to get the required points to unlock the next ball. steering doesn't seem to flow as well speed wise with the placement of point gates - or i just suck (not sure which). Although I like the idea of all these unlocks, it seems to be quite tough to even get the first unlockable.

Really like how the level starts us off in this lobby area. Think it would be helpful display the descriptions of each ball differently if possible. actually make a display that separate out all its features rather than a paragraph go block text. makes it easier to read, especially with as much in each description as you do. sorta like <ball name> next line - unlock requirement - next line - effect - speed - etc. maybe include these titles but show in a dif colour.

like the idea of the grabs a friend, very useful for local play!

For those just rushing into the level, might find it strange that the bumpers and the metal blocks don't do anything, if they haven't gone into the ball menu and read through all the ball effects.

Not sure if I'm just very consistent or what... but each time i finish it says i was 20secs over the time limit of 2 minutes... is this a default message or was i actually timed to be that? A timer showing somewhere would be helpful to give the player a better indication of what the time limit is. normally in races, the bubble timer goes down, as we are collecting points this doesn't show which makes it difficult for the player to tell how well they are doing time wise, as they progress.

Er.... well occasionally comeback to this level to give it more tries and see if there is anything else i can think of for feedback, but i guess won't have much else until i get to try the other balls. If i manage to unlock them.
