is there a simple way to write in odd time signatures, most commonly 3/4? the most i can think of is overlapping instruments, and that wouldn't exactly loop well.

The most I can think of to fix this is to extend the the box one size to the right so that it has 2 extra bars. This means every sequencer section would be 2 3/4 measures, so you might need to add a measure to loop it well, but the other thing would be messing around with tempos which wouldn't be as clean.
