How do I compare analog signals

Archive: 6 posts

I want to create a targeting system, by comparing the closeness of the player, and target the nearest player. How do I see if the signals are greater than or less than? Is it possible to compare more than two signals at once?2016-04-17 14:37:00

I built a comparator that you can earn by getting all of the prize bubbles in my 3D Sackbot beta (not hard at all). It takes in two signals as input and outputs either ">", "<", or "==". So for instance,if the first input is a 5% battery and the second input is a 10% battery, it would output "<". You can use this for any logic that uses variable signal strength. Hope that helps!

There's no immediate way to do this (it has a frame delay) as it uses a sequencer. Basically you put two signals in a direction combiner that you want to compare and you take that and split it and take the positive signal and plug it into a sequencer with a 100% battery on it (make the sequencer bit as short left/right as possible). This battery output will be on if the positive value on the direction combiner is larger than the negative value2016-04-18 03:24:00

Tested this out and it's not working. The splitter is giving neither a positive or negative signal.2016-04-23 12:08:00

Have you hooked it up to a note (input value) to make sure? With really low signals it won't light up a lot of the time. Also, make sure the sequencer is set to positional as I didn't say that earlier. If you could post a picture with explanations of tweaks that would help a lot.
I wish there was an easy tutorial that I could find, but finding tutorials for littlebigplanet is hard nowadays
