Hey guys! I saw this thread over at LBN and I thought I'd bring it over here. So what do you guys think? Is Lbp3 dying or still hanging in there?

Hi gurren009, there are lots of creators busily working on new levels, there are also lots of new publications, and there are still many players playing theses levels! (Team pick levels still can get about 10.000 plays) And you can find different forums with activity (not so much as some years ago, but still activity) In my opinion LBP3 is still alive! I absolutely understand this, I have also lost some older friends, but in the forums there are still newer lbp fans that are looking for friends! And so there are many friends around!

LBP3 should be given away as a PS plus monthly game. It'd bring a huge amount of new players to the game re-invigorating the community and a huge boost for Sumo in DLC revenue.... Win Win!!

I just got a ps4. And got the digital copy if lbp3. I moved some massive projects from lbp2 and lbp3 for ps3 to ps4, because my copy of lbp3 on ps3 is about as useful as a cat licking itself. That said, I'm very active on lbp3. I try to be on about every day tinkering away and making the needed technical hurdles to put my creations in the right direction for lbp3. And beliecve me, it is a massive hurdle transitioning some of my stuff from 2-3. I have to rework all the emitters in one because they emit behind where I need them to, and the other just vomits all the parts that are only supposed to move back a layer and come out a layer. But it just decided to take it upon itself to vomit them to the back layer. So I had to put up and immovable wall until sumo decides to fix it. As for the P's plus thing, that's a huge mistake. The game is only 20 now, and when they did it with lbp1 we got a ton of bad levels that flooded it and lbp2. Not to mention all the hackers stealing levels.

I think I might be taking a break from LBP3 for a while and heading back to LBP2. Community is definitely not big, but the game's so much more stable! EDIT: Actually, on second thought, I think I'll stay on lbp3 XD. The reason being that diving in on lbp2, well.... wasn't exactly the best experience LOL

LBPK was free for PS plus members in 2014,two years after it released. 2016 will mark the 2nd year of LBP3's release. maybe LBP3 will be free this year!
