Are Magic Mouths with Sequencers on PS4 Broke?

I'm aware of the issue with LBP2 compatibility in LBP3 where the text doesn't appear. However I have a problem on the PS4 version (I say this because I've googled and can't anyone mentioning it, so maybe PS3 works... as the PS4 version is notoriously buggy) where magic mouths keep glitching on sequencers. I put the mouth on, increase its size to extend the duration, then input all of my data. Some time later the length reduces to the minimum size and I no longer have the ability to change it. Alternatively it locks at an arbitrary random length. Either way I can't modify the length.

Even when placing them they seem glitched - the mouth graphic will stretch like a sound object does, but it stretches to the left and the right, not just to the right. Upon placing it the stretched graphic will disappear, as well the extension to the left and it reverts to its LBP2 visual. This is just like a movie camera visual with the mouth to the left and a black bar extending out showing duration. I hope what I've explained is understandable, if not I can get some screenshots to demonstrate. I'm just at the point where I'm so frustrated as something I thought would take no time at all has morphed into something that's a time sink.

Hi Xaif, I will test the magic mouth on my PS4 in the evening! I haven't worked with magic mouthes for a while, so I don't know, whether this is a common problem or not! I will inform you about my experience tomorrow!

I do believe they are glitched. I remember something similar to this happening to me on ps3, so I think it's an lbp3 thing in general. I generally use notes in lbp3 because they look nicer even though they take longer to set up, but I agree the sequencer thing is annoying.2016-04-15 06:25:00

Thanks for the tips, I was afraid they were going to be the answers.

It looks like notes are probably the best option, do you have any suggestions on how to deal with them in cutscenes when the camera angles are not in line with the screen? I have the camera rotated around all 3 axes so the notes appear skewed. Granted this is better than the glitchy magic mouths, but I was wondering if you've any suggestions on how best to approach this.
