THE SACKBOY PROJECT: CONTINUATION [Series, Project]

Archive: 1 post

This is a side project for THE SACKBOY PROJECT. It's still in the making but I have most of the first level down.

The first level is called "Unnamed Level".

The level starts with Imagination and Eveil staring into each other's eyes for a long time as you're trapped in a cage. Not much happens but then, in five seconds, both women will disappear. Another five seconds after that, you're free. You can explore the room but you wouldn't be able to see much. You can wall jump inbetween two walls and get onto some pillars which leads to on top of the cage you were trapped in. There's a switch directly above it. You can tug it to go to the next room.

In the next room there are cages with Sarah in the leftmost one; following that one is four other cages filled with people that looks familiar to Sarah. There's now a cutscene where Sackthing looks at the final one to the right and thinks of it as familiar, and the only thing that seems familiar to it is Sarah, as she will appear quickly as if a flashback appeared. Imagination will talk to you. She explains that the people in those cages are life-like holograms of people you used to know. She then shows you Sarah in a cage.

You can't progress further unless if you walk towards the door which looks different from the others. Sarah opens the door but Imagination will claim that she controls her and will close the door as soon as you step into the next room. The next room resembles a checker board. The only other color is the red button, but it's protected. (Everything is protected by hologram, if you can't tell.)

There's a few platforming segments. You have to hop onto three staircases of Bouncepads. Afterwards, a segment like one of Solitude's puzzles comes up. There's a wall and it changes from one color to another (this time, in order). You are given a Hero Cape to help you. It's short, as it's only two staircases. (I call large blocks "staircases" for some strange reason.)

I couldn't think of anything to do with it. After those two platforming puzzles, I made them remove the cape.

I need help for this segment. I mentioned something about "the switch being on the last floor" in a scene with Imagination when she talks about the holograms and Sarah but that switch is for unlocking the button so you can free Sarah. I then thought of making Sarah as a playable character, too, but I don't know how I'll be able to function making you control Sarah and yourself at the same time. I guess I'll have to move to Sackbots. How many floors do you think should be there and what do you think I should add?

There's also a side route to Solitude coming soon named "New Home", but its ending is called "Safe Home". (It's referred to as "Secret Ending, too.)

When swinging on the vines, give it your all at the last one. You'll make it to a platform. You'll see a cardboard sign that will say "A New Home". Continue going on.

You'll be led into Sarah's home. She'll lock you in. She simply says "Sit down." You can either sit in the little chair across from her or the carpet. Depending on which one you choose, she'll say different things. (Wherever you sit doesn't affect any choices made in the rest of the level if you reset after sitting down.)

Sitting on the carpet will encourage her to say, "I never seemed to like sitting on cardboard, either. I guess it's fate that you decided to sit there." Sitting on cardboard will enforce her to say, "I like cardboard, too. Strangely, I think I have a fetish for it."

She gives in on small talk but she really claims to keep you safe. She doesn't give in on her real name, however. She asks for your name but does remember that (I can't program decision-making stuff lmao help me and) she automatically assumes that you don't prefer speaking, so she just calls you Sacky.

There's also a joke ending where you might be able to sit down on the radio that's playing her music; the music will stop. She'll glare at you. She then continues the conversation normally as if you were sitting down on the chair.

As of 04/14/2016, "Unnamed Level" has been released.

After the puzzles that resembled "Solitude", you can notice a cardboard area. There's a switch that Sackboy cannot reach. Heading past the hologram causes a sensor to go off, which makes a floor give way. There's a wormhole. Going through it causes you to be sent to the same box in Empty Level. However Clone isn't there as she is under Imagination's mind control. Karma seems to call Sackthing IT disrespectfully and Eveil seems to get very protective about it. Ashe asks about her sister--Clone--and Eveil says about the mind control.

A piece of the floor gives away after the conversation. You get a grappling hook and you are returned to the cardboard area. After using the switch, go back to the cardboard hallway and there's another wall that gave way. There's a worm hole. Go through it to press the button on the first floor.

It frees Sarah and she teleports out and tries to chase Imagination--however, Imagination was quick enough to leave. Sarah tells you to leave.

Go back up to the cardboard area and there's a final wall that gives away, making it possible to go to the scoreboard.

Thanks for reading!
