Basically, I was messing around in Create Mode... here's what happened: 1. I shot a paintball while time was stopped. 2. I copied the paintball with L3. 3. I enlarged the copied paintball and placed it above the ground; not very close to the ground, but somewhat near it. 4. I placed the paintball, then made a circle of Stone over it, so the paintball was now embedded in stone. 5. I changed the stone to cardboard. 6. I removed the cardboard. 7. The paintball fell to the ground; it made the sound that cardboard makes when it hits the ground... 8. The game froze.

haven't i told you not to play with that paint fellow?! Now look what you've done! you've gone and ruined that new pair of LBP i bought you! EDIT: I froze my friends PS3...... Go to moon, bring up wilderness template, select any material, make the box 3 layers thick, make the box as big as you can and press triangle.

If that's the case, then the game crashed when it tried to figure out what happened when cardboard "splatters", which would be an invalid action as the game does not have the programming for that.

What happened when you pressed the PS button? If nothing happened it had nothing to do with LBP and was simply you're PS3 hanging, pure coincidence. Happened to me a few times on COD4 online sometimes, each being when a helicopter came in.. so it might be linked to in-game activities, but I doubt it muchly.

try to place a circle and keep copying it over and over until you have like 100 circles and then unfreze the game and the game will freze :kz:

I'd suggest doing this again a couple of times to see if you can reproduce the glitch. If it works, post in the bug thread

I can actually freeze the game in create mode using the following method: 1. Pause the physics. Make sure it's paused, this glitch doesn't work while physics are running for some reason. 2. Open up the popit menu and select stickers/decorations. 3. Select any sticker or decoration. 4. With a sticker or decoration at the end of your lasso, try and save the level. The game will freeze. I've already e-mailed MM about this bug. I'm hoping they'll fix it with the Leerdammer patch.

I've managed to freeze the game by gluing paintballs together and then jumping into them. My guess is that this was similar experience due to the paint trying to splash when glued to an object.

Heh! Weird... well, I must say that's a discovery. My LBP crashes on PSN when it says 'You are now game host' and I had to restart the darn PS3 just for it, and vice versa.

It allowed you to change the appearance of any material. By gasifying, changing material, and degasifying, it changed appearance but not properties EDIT: "Gasifying" is recognised as a word by my dictionary - degasifying is not. Huh.

What's this Cow Glitch I keep hearing so much about? I can't find anything on it, but it's referenced constantly on this site I only found about it recently too actually. It was an old glitch where you could take a block of material, turn it into gas, use the material changer to change it to the material you want it to look like, and de-lethalize it Think it's been patched though

Actually i've seen alot of software bugs causing the XMB override to fail. When your thing hangs there you can bet almost 100% it's because of the game no matter XMB works or not. Seriously, the PS3 software never freezes. Probably less than Windows at least. .
