how many other people not like the story's ending?

cuase i didn't like the ending. it was well made and but i think it was pretty stupid. i can't remember what happened exactly but i remember it was stupid. then again the story was made with kids in mind.2009-03-07 01:40:00

I didn't really care about the ending. It coulda' been better, but the game was made with kids in mind. (Although loads of teens and adults buy it!) I didn't really bother about the storyline in the story mode levels altogether, but that doesn't mean I didn't like the story mode!2009-03-07 13:36:00

Wait...story mode had an actual story??

Who cares about the ending, they we're just looking for a way to tie all their levels together.
Its a very simple (but fun) story. It didn't ask for anything grand.

It wasn't bad at all, really showed how you should SHARE things and not keep them

Ok, it wasn't brilliant but it tied everything up and had some nice effects and stuff

Well, I liked it. It showed everyone all together. It also showed how easily the King and Queen could destroy the Collector's ultimate robot. ...You'd think they could've done that with the other robots?2009-03-08 00:49:00

I liked it! There was a small feeling of disappointment - because the game is kind of short, but I did get the feeling of 'right, now to try making my own'.2009-03-08 01:11:00

It was perfect...
An ongoing plot of friends being captured, the saving them at the end, and converting the bad guy HAD to happen with such a happy game like this ^_^

And I think that's exactly what Mm had in mind.
They we're just saying: now you've seen what we can do, time to make your own story...welcome to Little Big Planet.

It amazes me hope people almost always seem to dislike the ending of games and movies... especially movies. I mean not everyone <_< but a lot of people... They enjoy the movie while it's playing but when it ends, they know the truth and say the movie sucked <__> atleast alot of people i know...

Anyway, i liked the ending...

yeah the ending is not any good but the creating and sharing is what the game is all about.

Too lenient, too easily forgiven. It gives kids the message that you can be a fascistic dictator and rob the entire world without any consequences.

there is a reason the trophy that pops up when you beat him is called 'only the beginning'.

there wasn't really much of a story tbh, but it was never about the story. it was about showing what could be done and having players enjoying themselves. which for me they got spot on.

I think the ending was really good. It made sense at least And the fact you see the collector "stealing" objects with his.. flying machine in some levels was awesome XD

I really liked the ending, and it shows that everyone can take part in the LBP community, and bla bla everything is good and well

....

I wanted to kill him

Seriously, at that point I was no-nonsense and no-mercy after going through the bunker, a level that might as well have come from the very depths of Hades.

So yea.

Eh, I didn't really like it. Kinda sucked, all of that just so everyone can say "Everyone's a friend in LBP!". Nah, I would've liked a bigger climax...Maybe some explosions...Crazy roof-to-roof jumps...Massive helicopters and madmen with rapid fire machine guns and rocket launchers...Yeah!

All in all, yes, I would've liked to kill the Collector. It's more fun when someone dies, as a good friend of mine once said...

I always closed the story bubbles in LBP, there was no real story to speak of. To be honest I have never paid attention to story in platformer type games, even from the old Sonics I have never cared what the backstory was, I just wanted the levels!2009-06-22 00:59:00

I thought that the story ending was perfect, it closed off the collectors rampage and made it revolve around what LBP is all about sharing,

Plus it opens you up to the User generated content!

Excellent makes me chuckle just thinking of it now

The ending for me was weird. If I wanted to make friends, I'd socialize and hang out with people (not steal their creations and the people themselves.) But as others said, the ending isn't suppose to be flashy. It's there to clarify, "Great! You have all of the items. Now make your own levels."2009-06-22 22:01:00

I hated it so much because its like the guy only stole them because he had no friends. Okay thats good enough for me but nope, the people who he kidnapped loved the idea of being his friend. I was like WTF, mate? If I was them I'd make a prison and leave him in there forever. And some people will say "its a kids game, they need to have a good ending." um? Hello remember Meerkat Kingdom? The stripper meerkats on poles and the VIP room?2009-07-09 21:58:00

Not to sponsor my level, but search "The Real Ending" or Standers37 in the LBP search bar and find the "The Real Ending" level I made. That's what I wanted the ending to be.

If people are too lazy to play it, here it is:

You walk along a huge group of the story npcs. Then, when you walk past the collector, he'll say hehehe and suicide bombs everyone.

Yep. Lol.

You're kidding me, right? You have to be joking. LittleBigPlanet is not going for a high quality storyline like Metal Gear Solid! It's freaking Mario in the sense that it gives you a motivation to do something just so you can go run around and collect crap. Do you really think that they were trying to make some original twist, plot, or something? I can't even explain how ridiculous that statement is. No one ever went in to LittleBigPlanet expecting a high quality story, just like how Scribblenauts probably will be.

I am surprised at what everyone is saying. I thought nothing of the story. It was just there.

Well I enjoyed it, I thought it had a really positive vibe to it and it brought a big grin to my face. I think it teaches children that, "An eye for an eye is never justified". Or something like that.

They don't punish him, they educate him and show him why what he did was wrong. It's really charming.

We could argue that Santa isn't real or realistic, but do we really want to teach kids that the world is cold horrible place? Because I don't believe it is.
I give this level :star::star::star::star::star: and heart it!

Hehe.

Personally I think it sets a good standard for creators.

I hate the ending. I thought is was kind of chessy. I mean, the collector is kidnapping people and all and then when you catch him he says: "I was only doing it because I have no friends" and then you decide to befriend him for something like that? I mean come on.2009-07-24 04:24:00

I liked how they did the ending. It showed that Sackboy is a good person, and rather than getting revenge he instead helped the Collector meet new friends and join the community. Yes it didn't end with the boss's remains all around the room like so many games these days, but that is certainly not a bad thing at all.

It also gives a basis of Sackboy's personality, so that he's kind and doesn't need revenge (I'm looking at you With Love from Siberia ending...).

I personally hated it. "I don't have any friends!?" my god we aren't babies. I would prefer sackboy to pull out a 2 by 4 and beat the collector up online interactions aren't evn rated by esrb, so if they updated lbp rigt now and added gore and swearing, it would still say E on the box 2009-08-11 01:41:00

Is anyone else used to old style 8-bit endings?

I'm just used to the old 'Congrats, you win, the end.' endings. But, there ARE some awesome climaxes, LBP is just not one of them for me.

I just want this game to have more places to unlock... There's like 7 places... At least do it by country instead of continents.

And if the ending was like a cliffhanger, that would be awesome to start LittleBigPlanet 2.

Yeah pretty much. The game had a nice conclusion though, not something you'll think about after playing the game and turning off your PS3. But good enough to give you goosebumps and say "Finally".

I couldn't have cared too much. LBP was made for it's online as the whole story was very basic. After every section of levels it was like, see my friend here or something and then for the last part it made them all get freed after the collector had taken them away. It's message was to go online and make levels basically.2009-08-12 01:54:00
