Movie camera glitch
Archive: 4 posts
Hi I have 4 movie camera wires up to a selector which cycle when the x button is pressed. They are all set to cut with 0 second transition time and no other cameras are active. The first camera works fine, however when switching to the second the camera blinks on then off and the camera focuses on sackboy. I have tried deleting and redoing but this keeps happening. Weirdly cameras 3 and 4 work fine... Any help would be greatly appreciated as this simple task has taken me hours with no results yet! Thabks | 2016-03-29 23:25:00 Author: turnipeater Posts: 83 |
Hi turnipeater, I know this problem already from lbp2 and since I'm currently working on my 3rd music gallery, where I'm also using different cams (movie cams) also wired to a selector, I had also to find a solution for this problem! After a lot of trial and error now I have a functioning solution. I've put the settings for my first camera (selector exit 1) to holding time infinite, and the settings for camera 2 - 4 to no hoding time. The cams are placed on a microchip, so that I can activate and deactivate the four cams easily by activating or deactivating the microchip (this way i tried to avoid some interferences with the other cams of my level (could be that this is redundant, but...it does function!) If I have activated another movie cam of my level then I make sure that the microchip with the four cams is deactivated and vice versa! Tell me if this was helpful! I wish you luck and many greetings, Jürgen^^ | 2016-03-30 18:09:00 Author: CuriousSack Posts: 3981 |
Hi CuriousSack, thanks for your reply - I actually fixed the issue just before you posted however think I used a very similar method, simply put a counter between the selector and each camera and set to max of 1, that way each camera had a constant on signal after being switched on which immediately solved the issue! Strange one but no doubt this will be helpful to others as it seems like it should work fairly simply without this glitch | 2016-03-31 08:13:00 Author: turnipeater Posts: 83 |
Fine to hear, I will try your solution too, but you might be right that its depending on the constance of the on signal! I wish you good progress with your level, many greetings, Jürgen^^ | 2016-03-31 11:32:00 Author: CuriousSack Posts: 3981 |
