Was snooping around and I couldn't find any sign of a House of Cards thread- so I decided to make one. Last week Netflix released the 4th season of the show and I can proudly say that I binged through it all in one sitting... It was a wild ride. I am really hoping that there are some other House of Cards fans here, because if not then this thread is pretty pointless, but I would love to have discussions about the show here (Even if you've only saw the original British one from the 90's)

I've watched seasons 1-3. I find it to be decent, but I wouldn't put it amongst my favourite shows. Yet to start s4, not sure when I will, but I definitely will watch it at some point in the near future.

I've watched seasons 1-3. I find it to be decent, but I wouldn't put it amongst my favourite shows. Yet to start s4, not sure when I will, but I definitely will watch it at some point in the near future. I love the show. For me it's not the politics, its the themes and the shakespearean motif it has. I read the original books and had watched the original British adaptation and I do love the US adaptation. Season 3 was a let down in all honesty but it works well as build up to Season 4 (and I do love that scene in the Season 3 finale with Claire and Frank in the Oval Office)- but Season 4 is quite good. The show has its problems- but I think its because Netflix make the writers make quotas (number of episodes, and seasons) but that is a problem with all shows nowadays- Breaking Bad even suffered because of that. Without a doubt in my mind I can definitely say it is my favourite Netflix original- which happens to be Netflix's debut to making TV shows.

I think I'd probably put OitNB ahead of HoC, but based on the strength of the first and only season, I'd say that Narcos is my favourite Netflix Original. Wet Hot American Summer and Bojack Horseman deserve a special shoutout too.

At first I thought it would be a terrible show but watched it because of Aaron Paul. Even at the start I wasn't sold because I felt most jokes were forced or weren't funny- but after a couple episodes I was hooked and found it funny
