Pretty cool that we have someone from Japan =D I hope to visit Japan one of these days (not sure how though because I hate flying). Currently trying to learn the language, and it's hard, but I do have a bit of the reading down (just katakana and hiragana) and know very few word (unfortunately can't speak a single sentence yet though). Anyway, welcome to the forums.

Konnichiwa watashi wa Raku-desu (Hello I am Raku) Mentioning that you speak "Eigo, eigo" will help. (Eigo = English) I can agree that I hate flying! I'm afraid of heights... :/ Just so you know, English and Japanese sentence structure are totally different from each other so translations from English to Japanese is most common to be hard in some sense. Good luck. Kokoro = Heart Shiawase = most commonly used as "happiness" You can often hear "saa, saa" which means "come, come" "KONNICHIWA MINNA-SAN!!" means "HELLO EVERYONE!!" "suki Na no wo erande ne<3" is "just pick the one that you like<3" Listening a lot of J-Pop will get you somewhere. XD

I can agree that I hate flying! I'm afraid of heights... :/ My problem isn't the height. It's more so two things; 1) I'm not used to flying like I was when I was a kid (the last time I flew was back in 2010, and I was freaking out). Plus all these stories of plane crashes/disappearances, and various goodies that come with flying don't help. 2) Flying (especially in the USA) is just a pain with the TSA. Plus I feel uncomfortable with them either using an x-ray machine on me, or groping me just to get into the sky =/ (I don't think there is anyway past that) If I could find a cheap ship, or even buy my own boat to sail across I would. XD I never thought of doing that. I always hear people suggesting to watch subbed anime, or shows/movies. Which somewhat helped I picked up Kanpai (Cheers) and Nani (What)... Although those are the only things I picked up from subbed anime XD I did temporarily pick up "die" from Frieza/Freeza when watching DBSuper, but I forgot to write it down... Although that probably wouldn't be that useful anyway XD If you have anything that might help (even shows for toddlers (anything to help learning)) I'm all ears =)

Cool! Any questions or anything is fine, I'd love to help out. Subbed anime is kind of a "meh" for me, I never really wanted to sit through ten or more minutes of anime (cough cough, Tokyo Ghoul and Hetalia). J-Pop, I would recommend Utata-P's "Happiness Series", as most of the series' "songs" feature talking in it. It's amazing. I wish you luck.

I mentioned that "saa saa" meant "come on, come on" but it can mean "alright" as well. It depends on the sentence structure and how it's used. I'd also like to mention kanji reading for a bit, even though I may or may not have repeated this, haha. Japanese sentence structure and English sentence structure is hard. Especially in kanji; romaji would be easier in a sort of sense. (*Still has trouble reading "kokoro"*) I once watched a YouTuber translate a fully Japanese game, and he almost read the kanji as (not quite close to, but still related to) "the fourth, twelfth month" when it meant "December twelfth." Especially with three Japanese texts to learn (kanji, katakana, and hiragana), not including romaji (which is a combination of Japanese texts written in English format), Japanese is still hard yet fascinating to learn. I listened to a Japanese song once and they mentioned "dakara". In the first lyrics, it meant "That's why" but the second and third time that the word was repeated meant "and so..." So you really have to look at the rest of the bits of text to get an entire grip of what the sentence is telling you. And you cannot read it how you would normally read it in English, although it's how you'll understand the sentence better. (Sigh) Japanese.
