Hey how do trophies work on games I've already played through? Can I throw in Ratchet and Clank and get the platinum instantly since I have beaten that game in every way shape and form? Or do I have to do it again? Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Some games that patched in trophies after release do award retroactive trophies while others don't. For example, I believe Burnout's are retroactive, but Uncharted is not. Could be wrong on those, but it all comes down to the game.

The only trophies that have been retroactive are warhawks ranks as far as I know and Insomniac have stated that they will not be patching their old games.

Normally trophies aren't retroactive because they simply aren't tied to save games. They are programmed another way. .

Burnout's are retroactive, They're not. Had to complete the whole ******* game again.

They're not. Had to complete the whole ******* game again. I know, that was stupid. I couldn't be bothered to complete it again though. Battlefield: Bad Company's online trophies worked after the patch but singleplayer didn't. Probably because the online stats were saved on a server.
