it is time for the next generation!

Battle with Zombies 2 - Nukehouse (TopDown)

So I decided to begin again. I want to create a new engine system for Battle with Zombies 2. It should be better for the PS Vita system. Less work so that the game runs with more fps. But I also want to make more effects. I have to do something!

The map is called Nukehouse and it is from Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified.

Next gen means that there will be new guns, new perks and more BIG helps. I will make more.

HERE I will post updates:

UPDATE 0.1: The production of the level begins

UPDATE 0.2: More details were added and more things at the engine were added too.

UPDATE 0.2.2: The first gameplay video was released at the 6. of February.

UPDATE 0.3: The different places like the garden, house and garage do have their own background sounds and player noises sound different. The design is finished to 50%.

UPDATE 0.4: 20 days until the release. I am at the design. It is finished to 80%.

UPDATE 0.5 Nope, it is still in work, but I am not really working on this. However, the level design is done. It looks good and it does have nice colors. The shop isn't finished at all. I still have to add the logic and visuals. I wanted to have a cool design, but maybe it is going to be simple. The character logic is at the same version as my first Battle with Zombies level at version 1. Nah, I have to add the new guns, the grenade, the knife function and something.
I really like the step sounds. The really fit to the materials. I also want to notice, that I added the realistic part, that those sounds will only appear, if you walk. If you walk into a wall, it will not make step sounds. If you walk slowlier, it does make sounds, but it takes more time till a sound appears. This is realistic and it should be standard at a TopDown game.

UPDATE 0.6: The level design is done, but sometimes I want to add stuff again, because they look cool. However, I have totally changed the display. It is compact, cleaned up and it looks cool. Here is a picture of it:

This is looking really fine and its promising to be a lot of fun! I'm looking forward to play it and maybe my survival time is a bit longer than in the BlackOps game!

Hey there.

I think it's better to make a new post.

However, the game is almost finished. The basic stuff was made, now I have to focus on the shop and on the zombies.

UPDATE!

I was on the level again.

- I fixed some problems
- I almost made every gun, one is missing
- I am motivated, I'll continue later

Update:

The end is near. I have to change some stuff at the zombie and add the whole inforcement objects.

Than I am done. The new game mode you ask? It will come out later or in a new BWZ level and that one would come out in december.

It is almost bugfree. The zombies will almost ignore the walls.

Yeah! Great news! I'm looking forward to it! Nuketown has been my favorite BlackOps Map and zombies are some annoying vermin!
So lets go hunting!...omg! They will hunt meeeeeee!
