Couch Co-op and Multiplayer Levels?

Archive: 9 posts

Anyone got some good levels to recommend for same screen multiplayer? Most levels nowadays seem to be centered towards online play, but I have some friends that would want to play on my ps4.2016-02-01 22:28:00

I've been coming back to read this topic in hope to see anyone replying to you the last days, but it seems like LBP creators have been following the all-online-no -offline multiplayer fashion that has been around for videogames the last few years.

I do know a few levels that are offline multiplayer compatible, but they were all made back in LBP2 years ago. The only LBP3 example I can think of is the recent team-pick Game Factory, which I still need to play but I believe is offline compatible due to its structure.

I'll put some example of LBP2 levels here just in case. I've recently played them on LBP3 PS4 and they all seem to work without problems:

I don't know if you remember the team pick Tank Wars, a remake of one of the minigames in Crash Bash. I managed to find other two examples: Crash Ball (https://lbp.me/v/5sqe26) and Pogo Painter (https://lbp.me/v/h09cep/), which both deserve a try.
Then, I'll put here what in my opinion is a little gem: SOCCER LBP STYLE (https://lbp.me/v/xe8exv/). This level is as simple as fun, and it's probably one of the best ideas I've ever seen.

Also, most of platformers levels should be playable in multiplayer unless the creator has put so much details and things into it to the point that it's too heavy for more than one player (but I believe that may be a problem when playing online, with lag and such).

There do seem to be a lot of LBP2 levels that meet this requirement but they don't seem to play as well as they did back on their own game (I'll check out the ones you suggested though!). The only LBP3 one that I've seen that seems to be more fun with multiplayer (though isn't required) is clockwork 3. I don't know if it is just me but it is really hard for me to find unique levels in LBP3. Most of them are following similar patterns with what I am finding.2016-02-11 22:30:00

Have anyone played comphermcs level about the storm and windmill. It's twoplayer only and is an amazing level for just that Where the co op is a necessity rather than something that also works good as co op.2016-03-13 11:40:00

I know you are looking for LBP3 levels more so, but on the off chance you haven't played them, jackofcourse has some coop specific levels which are probably my very favourite. I think it's going back to LBP1, but seriously if you haven't tried them, do! (Actually just dug it up for you XD https://lbp.me/v/pvm81k/ <---)

I've just made my first LBP3 level, which has a few coop obstacles in it (can be done solo, as a sackbot guide is ready to take up the role if you are alone XD). I must update my sig, but it'll be down there.

You might enjoy my VR-Maze levels

VR-Maze (https://lbp.me/v/qnpgfh1/topreviews?p=1&l=12)
VR-Maze 2.0 (https://lbp.me/v/qyg95fh/topreviews?p=1&l=12)

I also really enjoy playing offline multiplayer and it's something we always do over here. With that in mind, VR-Maze turned out to be most fun when you play with a friend on the same TV. They both work online as well, but it's rather a mess

My VS LBP1 Level has about 6-7 things to do, all local multiplayer compatible. Just not so much LBP2 compatible, but still doable.
