30 Camera Without Lbp2 Level Glitch

Hey Iv'e experimented on the 3d camera glitch which uses a lvbp2 level and a camera to make a 3d view but its limitations are hindering me from making my projects the way i want to. Anyone have another 3d Camera object or tool they can show me or any way I can get a 3d top down view without the lbp2 level limitations? Thanks! <3<3:star:2016-01-31 22:05:00

I don't think there's one that is as versatile as the LBP2 glitch. The lighting gets weird. Is there any particular limitation that you are trying to avoid?2016-02-01 02:07:00

In and out mover not working, It really hinders my when it comes to jumping. I can make a jump no problem but its doesnt look right. Also When I jump the camera doesnt follow the layer he is now into.so he on the platform but the camera is still on the layer it is originally on.

Gotta use followers, You could glue everything down and move the whole level up and down using followers. Its pretty tricky though designing around it. But you will have like 3-4 layers of height to play with. I started playing around with it a few weeks back.2016-02-01 03:55:00

I believe this was made in the lbp3 beta.

there are 5 options for 3d levels that i can think of at the moment

1. Deal with all the in/out limitations of glitched lbp2 level yet have easy movement and rotation (no camera in/out movement (up/down) and set in/out speed of objects that can't stop between layers)

2. have a 3d camera that moves in and out (up and down) but can't rotate properly. works in a regular level so in/out movers work as normal (you can swap between several cameras to get different directions but it's far from smooth)

3. rotate and move the level around a non rotating camera to give the appearance the view is moving/rotating. again this works in a regular level so in/out movers work as normal (this is by far the hardest method to work with, but IMO gives the best end result)

4. the rather standard "3D Movement" option that stops the player jumping between layers and instead makes him move and rotate freely within the play area with just a normal front view following.

5. top down gameplay could also be considered 3D if you make good use of the Z axis for visuals and/or gameplay
