So, I think in the next lbp if there even is going to be one, there should be the option to choose if your level is 3d or 2d or 2d graphics and can change through all of these if you want within the level. in 3d mode, you have all the materials and objects but the materials turn into different types of terrain and the objects are modeled in 3d and to change to a different style of gameplay there should be a logic tool thing whatever they're called when activated they would change the gameplay based on what setting it is set to in the tweak menu. and you can create 3d parts of the level and make 2d parts of the level and i have no idea what I'm talking about anymore so. also, the materials are just terrain paints but different ones have different physics properties and you could still have the regular shape materials and place them down as normal but in 3d so you could literally make your own proper game like fps or racing and it would just open up so much more possibilities but ps4 probably won't be able to handle it and it would be absolutely impossible to program so yeah one thing we know for sure, the above aint happening

This is actually the exact thing I wanted to type in the "lbp4" thread but unfortunately got accidentally deleted. Having an option to switch between 2 and 3D modes, yes, and also topdown gameplay. This way we won't have to worry about fiddling with decorations to make them seem like topdown objects. What you and I are saying actually has a possibility of happening. It would just take an insane amount of programming, and we're better off just going with MM's Dreams tbh lol.
