Hey! Downloaded the piraters of the carribeans DLC and found no new materials or decorations had been added in the editor. I wonder if I need to complete the storymode to unlock them, not that that would be a hugs problem' but you know ...anyone who knows? | 2015-12-20 10:13:00 Author: JL - wopdido Posts: 56 |
uh, you haven't played through the DLC? That's how you collect the deco, materials and stickers is by playing the story levels and collecting the prize bubbles. | 2015-12-20 20:16:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
Nope Rouge, not yet =) you know the holidays and all. But the good news is now I got something to look forward to til after Christmas But sweet, now I know. But I found out yesterday, posted here since I was lurking around anyhow Didn't realise there would be a campaign with the pack btw will have to buy them all now. Do you guys have any favorite among the downloadable campaigns? | 2015-12-21 04:59:00 Author: JL - wopdido Posts: 56 |
I really liked that one when it came out. As for the others Toy story was pretty interesting but most are kind of forgettable (but have some of my most used stickers/materials (Pirates for wood sticker I used before one of the other woods was created) | 2015-12-27 20:58:00 Author: koltonaugust Posts: 1382 |

Is it worth getting the other packs just to get the material do you think? | 2015-12-29 11:41:00 Author: JL - wopdido Posts: 56 |
It would depend. I get them because I like LBP enough to support them for that kind of content (I don't care too much about costumes, but I get the ones with male hair as that's hard to come by) but I rarely find myself using different materials as the levels I create take a long time (and i never finish them) and I'm a huge advocate of only a few materials per level. I usually only use 5-7 (sticker panel, grass, stone, cardboard, wood, glass for decoration and metal if necessary but generally it's not and sticker the heck out of them) There are generally only 1-2 versatile materials in each pack that comes with them so it's a bit of a gamble. However, it is often fun to see what levels some of the materials inspire which I will say has happened more often than actual uses of the materials. Also, if you're curious as to what specific materials I use it's that fuzzy grass that changes colour, the basic stone (the others have too large of chunks for me), basic cardboard (it's still one of the best textured plain stickerable materials), oak or white wood (sometimes cardboard with a sticker from Pirates pack, but I don't think this looks acceptable any more in LBP3), regular glass, and metal really depends on the level, but I often find myself using chrome with black stickers to darken it or another shiny one as the others are easily replicated (close enough) with stickers | 2015-12-29 16:37:00 Author: koltonaugust Posts: 1382 |
